Connecting to computer via USB

Newbie
Since rooting my Triumph, I can't seem to get my phone to pop up in My Computer.

Anyone have any ideas, I tried it on my work pc, my personal desktop, and my macbook pro.
Occasionally, it will link together randomly but it usually lasts for a few seconds and then constantly disconnects and re-connects.

Think I may return it after unrooting if I cannot fix this problem.

... While you sort it out I would recommend you try alternatives to usb transfers... swiftp from the market and filezilla for the pc to use ftp transfers or myphonexplorer from the market and download for the pc (if you use myphonexplorer you'll have to open your firewall ports on the pc so it can find the phone).

Does the phone appear under "Computer" as a CD/DVD drive?

It will pop up as the E drive (MOBILE).
I cannot get it to properly connect anymore.
It worked fine before I rooted and since then it doesn't ever connect, only charges.

Tommorrow (August 17th) is my last day to exchange or refund.
I'm going to play around with it a little more and if I cannot get it to properly link, back to Best Buy it goes.

I assume you then "mount" the SD Card from the phone after you see the E: drive appear?

Yea, it doesn't want to link anymore under any circumstances.
I really wanted to keep this phone, but it is just riddled with little quirks.

I also tried the Anycut method to try the three radio functions.
It did nothing for me.
