video cam doesn't suck in daylight but both the camera and the vidcam suffer from terrible low light operation. the most annoying part is when the cam first fires up there is a moment when things look great in low light and then it auto adjusts and your screwed. that there isn't an third party camera app is surprising unless there is something about the cam that doesn't allow them to manipulate the exposure setting.

its too bad. who uses the damn thing in the daylight?
