Help White noise with bluetooth on HTC Sensation 4G

Problems with low speaker volume aside, has ne one been receiving complaints from callers of a white noise while bluetooth earpiece is connected? My callers report a hissing white noise, and echo while my bluetooth is connected. I have tried 2 different bluetooth earpieces with the same result. Ne one else?

Thanks!

Make sure you have wireless calling and wireless hotspot disabled when you use a bluetooth earpiece.

Thanks Perry! I tried ur solution and the problem persisted. Do u not have this particular issue with your phone? Im curious whether a phone swap will fix it.

I an using the same Bluetooth headset that I have done for previous 4 years on Sony Ericson and Nokia with no issues at all - bought an HTC sensation on 3 a week ago and everyone who talks to me complains of exactly same thing as you describe - a hissing noise akin to sharing the line with a space alien and hearing an echo . I have paired my headset to my mates Samsung and his to my sensation and the problem persists - looks like could be a problem eh

I also have this problem, waiting on a software update,if that doesn't clear it up then I will send it to HTC,I use my bluetooth all day long

Yeah, I've had the same BT headset since 2005 and it's lasted me through about 7 different phones. I thought it was finally showing signs of old age when someone told me that I sounded like I was in the subway once I connected it to the Sensation. So, I tried it back in my old MT4G and it functioned perfectly, no complaints. So, yes I'll definitely confirm that there may be an issue here. It's great that I read this 'cause I was seriously going to go out and buy a new earpiece.

same hear. moto s9 headset, no problems in the past with 2 other phones when in call. got several comlaints of echos with my Sensation....

I don't use my earpiece for calling very much. But I have noticed there are some weird bugs with the bluetooth in general on this phone. It transfers contacts to my car incorrectly and then my car doesn't recognize them. My music cuts off if I position my hand a certain way on the back of the phone as well. I really really hope these bugs are just software issues. If the phone has bad bluetooth hardware then I'll go freekin crazy because this would be the second time I own a phone with hardware defects (GPS in the Samsung Vibrant). Is there no Quality Assurance anymore? What the hell is going on in the world today?

Hi, I am having the same problems with "white noise" and "echoing", after numerous calls to Orange (with no joy), I then contacted HTC who informed me that the HTC Sensation uses Bluetooth Version 3, I have used the Jabra BT500v Bluetooth Headset version 2 successfully with my last HTC HD, it now seems that we the customer MUST TEST AND BUY these new expensive headsets completely at our own risk, come on HTC... SURELY... YOU HAVE DONE ALL THE TESTS FIRST? (Does not look like they have to me) as they will not GUARANTEE and CAN NOT even reccomend a Bluetooth Version 3 headset that MAY WORK. I drive for a living and the Bluetooth element of this handset is one of the most important features that I REALLY NEED! Needless to say I am very dissapointed with BOTH Orange and HTC for putting out a handset that has not been tested PROPERLY.

I bought a cheap 3.0 bluetooth from newegg and was told it sounded better but the thing only worked 2 hours and conked out, this issue is killing me,I need the bt to work damnit lol

Yep, I'm bringing back a thread from the grave to report that the BT on my Sensation sucks as well. Please don't buy this phone if you need clear BT headset communication. It's horrible. Every person I speak with complains. I'm selling the POS.

I just used the Facebook Tmobile 30% accessory coupon (because I'm not spending that much on yet another headset that doesn't work.) and picked up the Blackberry HS-700 Bluetooth headset. It took a bit of effort and a power cycle on the Sensation, but, everyone I've talked to since has said I've never been more clear. To Macklessdaddy's credit, it's also a 3.0 BT set.

Cool, but I looked on Amazon and it says it is bluetooth 2.1 not 3.0. I guess if it sounds good that's all that matters though. Thanks.
