OMG what a disaster, sorry to hear about that JLG. You went way out of your way to configure the system in a smart way and even do offsite backups, and then Murphy strikes in the worst possible way. I gather interpreted results aren't publishable w/o the raw data, but at least you have a headstart in regenerating and interpreting new data.
Technically true, but as a practical matter refurbs are sometimes customer returns by someone who never even took the item out of the box, or it could even be remarked manufacturer overstock. But you're right it probably won't carry the same warranty and I can understand why it's not the right choice for everybody.

I don't know where you guys are accessing your vzw pages. Every time something is mentioned about the Bionic being on there, I go to it and it's gone.
You know, all this garbage that happens with official "leaked" crap, like the idiot at Samsung that leaked that the SGSII would be 4G, before it was retracted saying he meant the Tab 10.1 (yeah right. . .kind of hard to blame that on a typo), and then that huge Bionic page on Verizon a few days ago that inexplicably disappeared, as well as that Motorola spec page that inexplicably disappeared, and then this. . . .
Either the manufacturers and carriers are yanking our chains and then go on these forums to see what the geek reaction is, which is very rude and borderline cruel, or the cell phone industry is filled with stupid apes that can't tell their heads from their crap holes.

Go to www.verizonwireless.com and just watch the screen. Various deals will come and go on the page, including the Bionic's "Coming Soon". If you still don't see it, then I have no idea what's up with that...

So I guess the Bionic isn't coming to Illinois. Oh well. At least we have Ethanol gasoline, not that anyone uses it.
Thats odd, though all it is was a 2 sec splash screen that said 'coming soon' it had a 'more details' button which was my link. That was what you saw, just the email sign up page

As for the 26th, I would think it's not happening. As Tehsusenoh said, it's a Friday and Verizon loves Thursdays, for some reason.
But I almost don't even care anymore. I'm looking forward more to the return of The Office on thursdays than the stupid Bionic. I'm going to wait for the Prime in October!!
If Bionic's launch were anytime in August, there would be more than a teaser screen by now. I think September 8th will be the magic date after all...

i know you said you eventually saw it on the site but i just had to check and confirm it for myself. im getting the Bionic as soon as it comes out. i cant wait another month for the Prime, even if it actually does launch in october. as for the office, i dont know if im gonna like it as much without steve carell.

if your not getting it, you may need to clear your cookies. if your browser caches a copy you may not get a fresh page showing the change. i.e. does that allot. i had a fight with my internet guy about a change to my home screen that didnt show up. well he was right. after i refreshed it popped up.

if the Bionic doesnt come out by sep 8th i'll be pissed, then maybe i'll wait for a different phone. the one thing that would make me wanna get the Prime is that its supposed to be the first phone with ice cream sandwich. but if its gonna have be 4.6 inch screen i think thats way too big. i was already dreading the idea of when the Bionic was supposedly going to be 4.5 inches.

No, it will come out September 8, I'm pretty sure about it. And if bigger screen size is a problem for you, then I think the Bionic will suit you perfectly.
Everyone has their own standards and preferences. I'm not even that pissed anymore about Moto's delays. It's just that the Prime seems way too sweet to not wait another month for it.
