Help App to switch off Mobile Internet when on 2G?

Hi,

A friend is experiencing the known problem of voice calls not getting through when he's on 2G and there's background syncing - as described here.

Does anyone know of an app which would turn off Mobile Internet when there's only a 2G connection? This is the only way I can think to possibly solve this problem.

Its not free but its a great app and can do many things. Tasker:

Profile>State>net>Mobile Network>2G
Task>net>Mobile Data>Off

And you can add an exit task too. So when Mobile network is NO LONGER 2G:
Task>net>Mobile Data>On
