Camera folders

Are all the default camera folders necessary? I mean I have Camera pictures, camera media, all pictures, all videos, my images, my videos, plus a few folders that I created myself. I take a pic, and it goes into more than one folder. Is it ok to remove any of those folders?
On SD card, there is also a .thumbnails, 100andro, and a camera folder.

You can delete them but they will be recreated the next time an pic is stored that belongs in that type of folder.

when searching for 2.1 Media gallery my search came up empty. I'd like to know how to manage folders as well so i can separate droid and other pictures from images i shoot with my professional camera for presentation.

I think what Joe Droid meant was that the new droid update, 2.1 will fix that issue, not 2.1 Media Gallery
