Help any way to hotspot optimus v?

i have optimus v with 2.2. is there any way to set up hotspot or is it impossible? i dont care if i need to root the phone i really want the ability to hotspot?

Absolutely!

Purchase the Virgin Mobil Mifi hotspot device and then pay the monthly fee. Then you'll be able to add up to 5 wifi capable devices to it (your Virgin Mobile cell phone, your laptop etc).

Or go to the Market,. download Quicksettings, open the settings of it, move HOTSPOT to the top of the list, then backout, and turn on the hotspot feature.... assuming it still works. Does so on mine.

I don't recommend this ^. Not only is it against the terms of service to do this without purchasing the MiFi, it's theft of services. Not really worth the risk.

This was blocked on the 2.2.2 upgrade as it is against the TOS. There are other apps that it is possible to do what you want and I even wrote a tutorial for one.
