My 32 gb Touchpad arrived 10 minutes before my shift ended at work today. No problem getting it online and downloading the 3.2 update, but connecting to the pc to install preware, was a bit more work (but still not bad).

Managed to fix the logging via the links I stickied, but that guide needs work o/w you might find yourself resetting your TP before downloading preware. :D

I installed UberKernel and Govnah (which took some searching) and found 3 free Angry Birds (Rio, Lite, HD), along with a few other games. Am REALLY disappointed in the graphics quality with Angry Birds tho. It was hi-res on my Nook Color and lo-res on the TP. Sound is great tho. I think my kernel or Govnah needs tweaking tho since this is really lagging with OnDemandTd 1512.

I was charging with the Touchstone, but after it was fully charged, decided to hold it in my hand and that got old fast. This bugger's HEAVY and you'll want a case that doubles as a stand or the Touchstone or some other easel type stand.

When I was researching cheap screen protectors on Amazon, I found two, both 3 packs (3 tries to get it right :D), but one wasn't shipping until 9/1 so ordered the other one. First attempt to install went pretty good. I aligned it right off, but ended up with a little lint on the start end (probably due to static) and trying to lift, clean with tape and work the bubbles out didn't help, and ended up pulling it off and starting on #2, which turned out very good and it does have a nice matte finish. These are Acase anti glare protectors.

Installed my work Exchange email account, Gmail (which I don't use much) and had trouble with email settings for my personal acct so decided to take a break from that and play with it some.

I, sadly, can't get work email on the thing as my boss' philosophy is that employees are less effective if they have access to their email on mobile devices and can constantly check it.

The more I use it, the more I'm impressed by it. I subscribed to Time digital (although I'm having a hard time figuring out if I subscribed to digital and print or just digital. I've not messed with overclocking as it doesn't need it at all IMO once you do the other speed tweaks.

I love it and it's in my hands all the time when I'm at home any more. If I'm out and about, I take my Galaxy Tab as it's smaller and far, far more portable. At home when I don't need the portability, I like the Touchpad by far. It's entirely possible this is just puppy love and I'll hate it in a few weeks though.

F4 overclock 1.8 is much smoother, but you get all that Linux stuff scrolling down the screen at start so not impressive. It's also considered experimental. :D

I think I need to watch the videos again and see if I can pick up any tips.

I read that the only custom kernel without the linux-style scrolling junk at startup is Warthog. I was able to do 1800, but 1900 froze instantly. I was worried that the setting might stick and I'd have to reset, but the only problem was that I had to reinstall Govnah since I didn't have an icon for it.

Installed Warthog, OC'd to 192/1728, unpluged from the charger (100%), used it a bit, put it sleep (not turned off) for 8 hours and it still says 98%. :D

It is faster now. I think new install, new apps... the caches need to get built up a bit like Android.

The 16gb TP didn't come in yesterday like I expected. I thought I had ordered a case from Amazon, but didn't see it and this one is coming via snail mail so no tracking number, but does have the case. O/W can hit Walmart tonight and get one for $20 with price match. This things too slippery to not have a case for it.

I'm still not finding any prevailing reason so far for me to OC it. The thing works beautifully after tweaking the logging and other settings in Preware.

I'm beyond pissed right now as my case I ordered off Ebay did not come today. The tracking number shows it as "out for delivery" as of this morning. I got nothing. I ran out and looked for any case that would fit it, but came up empty. Not really happy at the moment.

My 2nd TP, shipped via USPS on Monday morning still isn't here. It only has to come 2 states so I would have thought it would be here by Thursday. Of course the only tracking you can do is when you already have it or it's being sent back.

The small town Wal-Mart I hit today had 2 Touchstones left (orig $79.99 to $39.99 with price match) and about 4 cases (orig $49.88 to $19.99 with price match).... the only ones for about 200 miles I think. If I was comfortable with selling on fleeBay I would have cleaned them out. Never done that, but one guy at work does. I see the cheapest Touchstone on fleeBay is $55 with free shipping, not much money to be made there. (Highest is $100 tho) :D

I found out there are HD versions of Angry Birds and some that aren't. Apparently the HD versions are for larger screens, like the TouchPad and any other versions are gross. SO, for the Touchpad, the only Rio version (my favorite) is a paid-only version. I have since uninstalled all Angry Birds that aren't HD.

I can't stand how finicky the keypad is. It seems that if I don't hit the letter dead center, the neighboring letter I triggered causing many silly typos. I however love the concept of the cards, they make for a much more pleasant browsing experienced than what my iPad offers.

There's a number of home apps for Android, Launcher Pro (which I use), Go Launcher, etc.... why can't they build the card concept into one of those?

Our phones would truly be glorious then. Granted, I don't use my phone much for browsing, but I do like to set up full screen widgets(go launchers facebook and Twitter for example) and am able to fly from screen to screen in that regard.
