just an FYI about the issue a lot of people are having with the apps on the SD cards not being recognized...
i finally got it to work by doing the following.
unmount SD card in Settings
turn off phone
remove battery
remove SD card
put battery back in (not SD card)
turn phone on and wait a minute
put SD card back in
after about 30 seconds they were all back
i have seen other posts saying to move them all to the phone, then move them back. i was not able to do that

true...and it just gets me moar pissed cuz it's not here... haa.

I am still undecided if I'm going to accept the update when it shows up or wait. I called Verizon last night to check if they were aware of the 2 major issues with the update (apps on SD & thinking it's a Sprint EVO) and the tech support guy I spoke to said they had nothing on either problem...so I enlightened him. I then called HTC support to see if they were aware of the 2 major issues and he said that also have heard nothing, enlightened him also....BUT he did say they are working on another update for some other issues with the Gingerbread update. I already moved all apps back to phone in anticipation of the update. For some reason my phone has been acting very wierd and laggy (thinking it has something to do with the upcoming update) and it usually seems a lot smoother. So trying to decide if I should either accept the update, deal with the 2 major issues, hope my phone is back to it's normal smooth running self and wait for an update to the update or decline the update when it shows up, deal with a wierd acting and laggy phone and wait for the final new and improved Gingerbread update (if there ever is one)....LOL.

Just noticed that too... at what point does that happen? 100 posts?
and to keep this on topic....Where's mah update?![]()

I think it's at 100. I don't remember at all.
Your update is in the hands(paws) of the dingos. It's a little orange cause they decided they like cheese puffs too. You will have to wait for their supply to run out so they will wash their grubby paws and hit 'send' on your update.

So XDA has the ROM of this OTA, does anybody know if the Kernal or Radio have been posted anywhere yet to flash?
For those who got the OTA is the issue of the Wrong Market App and the Hardware specs error causing any noticeable issues? Wondering if when I get the OTA push if I should accept or just say screw the Dinc and go get the Bionic. LOL
Crap! I knew I shouldn't have given my minions that snack! Completely backfired on me!![]()

So what do I get for being a "member" now??.....obviously not a stable GB upgrade from VZW...LOL.
So...you are doing more work than you need...if you look at....., what you are doing falls under the "temporary solution". All you really need to do is eject and pull out the SD card, and then put it back in, and you would be in the same situation as doing what you describe above. You should read that post though, because anytime you (hard) reboot your phone, or mount your drives on the computer and umount, you will be back to missing all your apps.
If you tried moving them all to your phone and back, that might or might not work, depending on how you tried to do it....some apps just won't move to the phone, so they won't be fixed this way, but others could. However, if you do your SD card trick and them move them to the phone and back to SD card, that won't solve the problem...you really need to move them to the phone, and then reboot so the android_secure mount is moved to the internal storage, and then move them back to the "SD card".
I hope this helps...you should check out the first post on that thread, it will give more complete information and describe what is really going on.
