I took the plunge and got one yesterday. It is awesome so far. I started at 72% yesterday at 11am and didn't kill it until 1:30 this morning. That is an hour plus of waze, 45 mins of phone calls, 90 minutes of streaming a movie and began to panic I might not kill it before bedtime.

For comparison, I'd normally be in the 30% range without the movie or that much talking at 6pm.

I was a little leery of the aesthetics but after seeing it in person I was sold. My only gripe is lack of an available quality tpu case for it. The fit of the backing plate isn't quite equal to oem but isn't horrible either. The texture on back is much better actually.

I'll post more on the battery as I cycle it a couple times and really see the performance difference.

I ordered the GG, received it yesterday. Following their directions, installed the battery last night at 11:30 p.m. with what I would call light use, checking and installing apps in market,email, Google music about and hour, GPS and 4g turned on the whole time. Trying to drain the battery before my work day Monday, 1 o,clock I'm at 43%. So far I like it and will decide in a week if it was worth it. The extra bulk doesn't annoy me.Thanks to everyone on the post this community is always helpful and informative.
 
Got mine today and popped it in at 1130AM now 600PM...still at 50%...been using it all afternoon on and off...It came with a charge of 70%...so its really holdin up well...I'll try to drain it by tonite ...if not I'll take it to work till it drains then I'll pop in the 1900 and charge it tomorrow per their directions...Can't complain so far...Its really performing well...case was easy on and off...fits well in the hand and not slippery at all due to case...Not much bulk as well and fits easily in the Dickies Case I bought from Amazon...This case was holding the Photon and the EVO 3D without hump with the hump is still fits great and the case closes all the way with the velcro flap...We'll see how it goes tonite and tomorrow and I'll be conditioning it for four days or so...I'm sure it will only get better...The only helper with this is the Ultimate Juice which I've used on all my phones lately with great success...I know its gonna blow the stock and the 1900 backup battery I have outta the water...
 
I ordered the Active Extended case for my Seidio 4000mah extended battery. Should be neato. Though they just started releasing it with a kickstand for the regular battery size like today, so I'll probably end up regretting not waiting.

i decided to go for an external portable charger as i like my official EVO 3D hard case an diddnt wanna add bulk to device(thats allready a little chunky).it has a whopping 5600 mah battery that can fully charge the device several times,allso has adaptors for other devices to(like tablets etc),its allso small so i can pop it in my work bag(no plugs at my work station),of course i havent tried it yet as ive just ordered it,hopefully should do the trick :D link at bottom.

Quick update, since Monday at 8:20 a.m. I've been off charge with some light everday use, usual quick phone, calls light text, app updates, downloads and trillion on for most of the day yesterday and about 6 hours today, I'm at 56%. I'm liking this so far. Not a heavy user in the last 2 days...to much work.
 
Last update, at 29% super, super light day and Juice defender installed last night. Checked email, multiple text and 3 phone calls all lasting about 5-10 minutes.

Going to drain the battery tonight and start all over.

Should I be concerned about the voltage at all? The original EVO 3D battery is a 4.35v, but these seem to be 4.25v.
 
I am a bit disappointed n the seidio 4000mah battery, I am a heavy user and this seidio battery is no better than the accessory swamp battery, I spent 75 dollars on this battery and they last around the same literally, maybe I have a bad seidio battery, but I only spent 30 dollars on my swamp battery and it feel better, i love seidio, they make the best batteries, but on this one ,it goes to the swamp battery, if someone wants to buy my battery I will sell it for fifty bucks 6 full charges on it, it was supposed to b optimal battery life by then. The battery will last a regular phone user probably 2 days without charging, both batteries last me 6hrs before red and then I charge
 
Is there any difference in the thickness of the 3400 mah and the 4000 mah battery back? If there is no difference, I might as well go with the 4000, but the pictures make it look huge, so I would rather go with something slim as possible.

I've had mine a couple weeks and love it as the freedom from the charger is great. I have the Gorilla Gadgets battery.

I went 21 hours yesterday without a charge and the phone was at 40% still. I had over 2 hours of calls yesterday, an hour of pandora, 2 hours of the gps for navigation plus other stuff not listed. Display on time was almost 4 hours.

The only two negatives I see is the battery back could fit slightly better and the lack of availability for extended battery cases. I did just notice a small chip from removing the back when the phone locked. I'm not sure if I did it or it chipped.

I purchased the accessory swamp extended 3500 battery over a month ago.. the battery is great.. but my problem is the back plate kept on breaking on me.. they sent me three and the same thing happened every time right by the power button same spot every time...it just breaks there. they are great with customer service at accessory swamp but what good is the the is the battery if the back plate breaks.. they did send me a different one but its just plane looking... did anyone else have this problem? i know wasnt only one this happened to..
 
just amazing. 4000 seidio, this not photoshop. light usage, but did make several phone calls including two hour-long conference calls for work, light web browsing, several solitaire session, and several several texts

Good work dude! I don't use power saver and use mine quite heavily and can get 3 days out of it. It's fantastic.
 
I bought an after-market extended 3500mah off eBay, not knowing what to expect.. but feeling good about only spending $11. It came with the battery, the back plate, and a case.

My stock battery was starting to fizzle out. It would give me around 6-8 hours with light-med usage (texting, surfing, etc.) This 3500 is supposed to be cycled 5 times before it reaches it's maximum potential. I haven't even finished the FIRST CYCLE and it's given me 28 hours! And I still have 17% left! My battery info app says I have over 5 more hours of usage left. If so, that would total out to 33 hours. I'm thrilled.

The seller was from Ridgewood, NY. GREAT deal!
 
I bought a Hyperion 3500 mah battery from amazon last year. After finally activating my 3D this year, the battery worked just as well as the seidio 3500 did for the E4G. The last couple of days it has been dying fairly quickly. Under 9 hours of being off the charger and I had to turn off the phone.

Also, the battery backing seems to leave a little room for the battery which will cause your phone to shut off or reboot if you hit it too hard or drop it.

I wonder if it isn't charging completely or if it's just cheap. I just turned it off to charge it faster and noticed that it went from 30 to 67 in about 25 minutes through USB after turning it on for a moment.

I should have stuck with what I know and got a seidio. I paid $15, and I can tell you it's not even worth that. One of the reviewers on amazon wrote that the battery tested at 1700 fully charged.
 
found on amazon.com a 3500mAh extended battery and rear cover to fit the battery on my e3d for $6 shipped, anyone had any luck with these?
im not expecting the world from it but it would be nice to have a backup from time to time (tho my e3d is only about a week old so the oem battery seems to last a little longer with each charge and discharge, or maybe im playing with it less?) the oem battery usually last me 2/3-3/4 day
only thing i be worried about is the cheap battery possibly damaging my phone somehow?
