Help Home Button Inactivated While Docked

Has anyone else noticed this? I hope I don't have a bad button.

While in desk dock, my home button won't do anything, in any app. The one thing it will do is hold for recent apps - but it won't do anything at all with a single press.

I have the Motorola branded standard desk dock, not the hdmi-out one. If I check 'Remember my selection' then choose Bedside, Productivity, or Dismiss Picker, the 'home' key works as you said. The 'back' key takes you to the home screen. The home key will take you back to the dock screen. If you uncheck the 'remember' box, the home key takes you to the home screen.

Last night, for the first time, I noticed this same "behavior". I figured it was a setting, or whatever. I'm going to experiment tonight and see what's up.

Yes, this is the standard dock. Seems like it worked at first, I can't remember.
Doesn't matter
which mode it is in.
Back key takes me back- if I go back enough times I'll eventually get to the dock screen, but not by using the home button.

I'm all up for hearing about experimentation! ;)

I am also having the same issue with the standard dock.

Also when I remove the Bionic from the standard dock my Alarm Clock Plus app stays active. I have to back out of it.

Kind of an interesting problem, but I can work with it.

Ok so I just tried it. When I did check "Remember my selection" the home button wont do anything (the only thing it WILL do is like you said most recent apps AND when you hit the "back button" to get to the Home Screen, pressing the Home Button will put it back into the dock mode).

However when the "Remember my selection" is not checked, the home button brings me to the home screen, then I don't know how to get it back into Dock Mode without taking the phone out and back on.

Now that I've tried this, can YOU tell me how I get back to the selection of "Bedside" "Productivity" and "Dismiss Picker" screen so I can uncheck "Remember my selection"? :P

just picked up my bionic and standard home dock. i will check into this and get back with some feedback. i will say that the bionic dock is made very cheaply compared to the one i got with my droid X. i almost want to return it.

also can anyone verify how many amps the charger puts out that comes with the bionic home dock? mine is 750MA, i got a long corded 850MA with my X dock.

Mine is 750ma too. The charger that came with the phone is 850ma. The charger that came with the Costco deal is 950ma.

When I didn't check "Remember my selection" the home button wont do anything...
However when the "Remember my selection" is not check, ....

Wait! Which is it, LOL?

That's easy - pull down your notification bar, there's a notice that you are "Connected to Standard Dock" - select that for the selection screen.

Whoa my whole post barely made any sense. I was tired, leave me alone haha.

Anyways, first paragraph i meant "when it is checked" and second paragraph i mean "not checked" :) edited

I found the stock car dock awful and installed car dock and am pretty happy with it. You may want to see if there is a doc ap that is better for you but the home button aggreivation was my main reason for switching

Just got a pm for the dock i use. Car dock home v3. There are others out there but this one does what i want so happiness is
