Help Saving EVERY picture it comes across into the gallery....

When i bought my bionic i thought it was a glitch from when i transfered my pics from my original droid onto the bionic. I noticed it seemed like every picture i ever came across on certain apps (WoW armory was one) saved icons and such to the gallery of the bionic. I went through and deleted EVERYTHING in gallery besides the pics i wanted to keep. After that i went on beautiful widgets and looked through their different styles of clocks.....and BOOM every single style they had was saved as a picture in my gallery......what the heck
 
hahaha, in my gallery I have pictures random ads for TV shows (Terra Nova, The Sing-off, and the New Girl). Actually, I'm peeved about this, as I'm guessing they originated from some app (probably bloatware).

I have had this happen on other phones as well.:confused:
 
The stock Gallery app on the bionic is complete GARBAGE.
Do yourself a favor and get QuickPic. Its a million times better then the stock Gallery app. I found out about it thanks to some people on here, when I posted a similar thread :D
 
i actually like the stock gallery. I go to one place to see all my camera pictures/facebook pictures/picasa pictures. I haven't noticed random pictures yet, I'll have to take a look-see.

EDIT

took a look. I have no random pictures under Library, Camera Roll or Online Albums.

Actually, I wouldn't say it's a million times better, but it is much better. I use both depending on what I'm doing, but I have having to wade through beautiful widget fonts.

Still waiting for my Gallery Prince Charming. :rolleyes:
 
if you put a .nomedia file in a folder, it won't be searched for pictures, video or music and therefore , won't show up in gallery. I think I found the file somewhere and just copied it to folders I didn't want searched.

there is some talk that this process could be causing the black screen of death.

So I'm open to suggestions on how to kill this process!
 
I also believe if you have pics you don't want to appear in the gallery you can rename the folder itself ".pictures" and that folder will no longer be scanned or included in the gallery. The period at the beginning of the name tells it not to be included I think you can do this with music or sound files that appear in the music app too.

I moved all my photos over to the SD Card. Now they don't show up at all in my Gallery. Is there a way to make the camera recognize it?

You installed an app or apps that put those pictures onto your SD card or internal storage. All the gallery app does is search those storage locations for images and display them to you, you can't get frustrated with the gallery app for doing this.

1. Open your camera app, slide out the options box, choose the gear wheel, choose Storage location, set to Sd Card.

2, Settings > Storage > Storage location > set to Sd Card.

I keep getting this creepy picture that I previously identified as being associated with Zumocast. I deleted it once, and haven't run Zumocast since, but the picture has now reappeared in my gallery. If I try to display the image it says "Loading...", but never completes.

Unfortunately I don't remember where I deleted it from, and can't seem to find out (again) where it is. Can anybody help?

I think I had that problem from photos I had on the SD card vs the Internal...I would look there.

Also, I had pictures duplicating themselves when on the SD card but fine on the Internal.
 
Tried Quickpic and love it, it is exactly what i was looking for now to remove the gallery app if i can if not to hide it. Thanks.
 
A new fan of QuickPic as it also allows you to ignore pics in certain folders like those coming from flixster (movies app) as advertisements.
