if wifi works with Cm6 then I can get it working with CM7. Did it work out of the box or did you do something to get it to work??

These issues are exactly why one needed the phone they are dev'ing on in hand

I believe I formatted the data/did a factory reset, then Wi-Fi worked, but I also changed the channel search from 11 to 14 if that helps too

channel would depend on your net avg channels are between 6 and 11

Well then, I guess the data format/factory reset did the trick, it also overwritten my phone number on which I need to keep

you can get it off my wiki, on the ascend page, think its on the m835 page too if not I will add it when I can.

you flash it like a rom except no wipes required.

EDIT: WiFi DOES work on that CM6 build for me, however, the screen for the dialer is a little cut off xD, using CM7 for just the phone

OK, for that, I changed the Density from 120 to 110 and it fixed that. but another minor gripe I have with the ROM is that for when I run MetroNavigator (yes I run that) is that for when I DO run it, it force closes on me

Data fix was easy. Just reboot into cwm recovery, go to backup n restore, advanced restore, and restore data. All contacts, accounts, and APN settings restored. I can access the market again, yay, lol. Just lettin you know. Im workin on the wifi, let you know if I find any workaround for that too. Thanks guys

install the gapps from PlayfulGods m835 wiki page
its towards the bottom of the page. Also clear the data and cache of the download manager app through the app manager which will stop force closing. Think that should work for you bud

yessir....exactly...thats the deal that has the list of apps to download at the beginning right? such as voice search, google voice, google search, fb app i think...and various others i cant think of right now...

This file is directly from the SD Card on my M835 I installed with. I used WiFi to Upload it.
Fixed Resolution.
WiFi Working.

*Note the first time I tried this I forgot to wipe the data / cache and Resolution was not fixed.
*Had to use Google Apps package: CyanogenMod 6 here.

Every time I download the file I get a 59kb zip instead of the 52mb it says it should be...

cause im not a dev, i didnt build this from source. im not trying to take anything away from pg, im not even on his level. i just posted it cause i thought people might like it. oh, and it installs with the correct screen size, just wipe and flash and ur good.

if 0521 works ther eis no reason for nothin to work with any of the newer builds

detail on what you did may help too to make a build specifically for the M835. reason I say this is because any CM build should have asserts to check what phone its being flashed on, and if said check isnt a match it will fail. And yes this can be worked around by disabling assert checks, but then u risk bricking you phone like many of you already have by flashing ROMs etc for other phones. In all honestly you all have been very lucky not to end up with a unrecoverable brick
