Droid Charge battery life awful

I am an agent at best buy mobile and i see it all to often, people charging their devices overnight. This is a big no-no! Never charge it over night, it only takes an hour half to two hours to charge it. Let it go completely dead then charge it from there and once it is charged take it off. If you charge it over night your battery is probably already ruined and i would suggest getting a new one. I have a droid charge and i love my phone. Have it in CDMA mode(stays in 3g) and do not charge over night and battery doesnt die until about 8-10 hours depending on what i do that day.

So you're supposed to wake up an hour and a half into your sleep and unplug it? Then let it drain for the next 6-7 hours?

I'm sorry but that sounds ******ed.

What nonsense. I've kept my phone on charger overnight pretty much since I got it 3 months ago, and I don't have any battery problems whatsoever. This comment isn't consistent with Li-ion battery technology. The following link should be useful: How to Prolong Lithium-based Batteries

One other thing - WiFi will typically improve, not hurt, battery performance, especially if you're where the WiFi signal is reasonably strong. Why? Because the phone will use that radio for data transfer instead of the 3G or 4G radio. If the cell radio signal is weak, the phone can use lots of juice hunting for signal. Even the venerable BlackBerry will run out of battery pretty quickly if it's in a marginal signal area.

Finally, being in a strong 4G signal area, I don't find power drain to be any greater when I'm on 4G at home than it is when I'm on 3G outside my home area.
