Help installing xda theme require root?

so i come across the theme section for galaxy s2 on the xda forums. but it seem kind of complicated with lack of instruction in installing. and made me wonder do i need to root my phone to install the theme?

i like those lock screen themes but everything seem so messy to read up.

Yes, you need to be rooted...

"It only needs a supported rom (odexed or deodexed) and a kernel with CWM support."

i guess i'll take a look at the link posted by ironass to learn more about rooting. but for now i guess no themes for me

rooting is extremely easy and a painless process on the GS2 litterally takes 2mins
