I have a Galaxy S2 KF1 kernel version which I decided to root because I wanted to back up the original firmware files. My research online came to a lot of guides and eventually I went with this rooting guide as the kernel's last 3 characters version on the pictures matches my phone.
During the rooting procedure, I followed instructions to the letter, downloaded all the necessary files and everything seemed to be going well. Odin reported that the flashing was successful and rebooted the Phone... But the phone stays stuck with the Samsung start logo and the yellow warning symbol on the bottom section of the screen. Figuring it may take some time to load through, I left it for an hour and the phone is still "stuck". I decided to turn off phone, disconnect USB, and re-repeat the entire flash process - this time, using the 'original' kernel file, in the hopes of restoring the kernel back, but it remained stuck... and now it randomly reboots to the loading screen repeatedly instead of loading the homescreen.
So now, with a phone that's technically a "brick", I have little knowledge on recovering my phone back to its previous working condition. I'm currently downloading the latest firmware, using the program: Check Fus and am planning to reflash the downloaded phone's firmware through Odin, by using this guide as a last resort... but before I do all of that, is there an easier means to fix the problem and restore my phone? Am I doing the right thing by downloading and flashing the phone using firmware that's downloaded by the Check Fus program?
I'll be waiting for answers before I continue on with the firmware flashing idea. I appreciate any helpful comments in getting my phone working again. Please help me.
