EVO 3D screen size compared to other handsets.

Love the new phone. Got my sound fixed with the sound boost, but after a week the narrow screen seems to really bother me. I went from an Iphone 4 to an EVO 4G to this. I like Looking at my wife's Photon size better. It's the same as my old 4G.....Ieven went and looked at the Epic touch this weekend and really am thinking of switching to one of these.
Is it really worth ditching the EVO and Sense for a larger screen ratio and size?
I want to take advantage of my 30 day exchange if I do

only you can answer that question.the evo 3D is designed more for the cinema movie experience considering the 3D aspect of it is the main selling point. i enjoy the screen and it works for me. you cant change the size of it so perhaps you should return it for something with a larger screen that meets your needs.

if this bothers you then change

ET4G 800x400 4.5 inch screen
Photon 960x540 4.3 inch screen
Evo3D 960.540 4.3 inch screen

Hard for me to just switch. I don't want to loose all my HTC Sense items. PhOTON is a bit boring so that would leave me the Samsung...

and their update system and touchwiz and ps the epic got gingerbread in august, but many are having problems with it, the evo 4g got it in june

if thats important to you

i understand. however if the screen size is an issue to you there is not much you can do. you can move to another android handset and transfer your items easily as you are aware.

many people love the screen size. again there is just not much you can do if you want the photon size screen. :(

I am not a huge fan of Samsung. Broke Plasma TV, and a crappy new washing machine really puts a sour taste in my mouth. I would only be switching because of the screen size.
Maybe I should just get a tablet

If I didn't already own an Acer A500, I'd also be getting one of those Transformer sliders. The sliding keyboard on a tablet would be so useful.

As for the screen size, I cant say. Sense is nice, but not so nice that I can't live without it. I actually lived with Go Launcher for a week before flashing a new ROM and having Sense being default, anyways. I went from an iPod Touch 3G to a Droid X (with a very similar screen size/dimensions to the E3D), to the 3D, so I'm happy with my screen.

But I don't know if I'm ready to trust Samsung for 2 years just yet. Maybe next phone after we all see how the SGS2 does over it's lifetime.

After seeing the Samsung note, I'd gladly drop the 3vo, sense and sprint to get it.

I went from a evo 4g to the 3d and was comfortable enough after a few weeks to not look back.

I came from the EVO 4G. I loved that device, but the width made it a bear to manipulate with a single thumb. Even though this thing is only slightly skinnier, I find it easier to pocket, easier to use, and better to look at. But its all subjective, and you should get what fits you. I personally won't touch Samsung or Motorola products. I've seen their track record for support, and i won't put up with that.
