Help adding Dr xyz to people

Just tried to add another doctor to my contacts with the name "Dr Smith" and when the contact is saved it drops Dr and just saves it as Smith... I have to go back and edit the contact to put Dr in given name for it to show up properly. Anyway to fix? Thanks

I have never had this happen, but one thing you can try doing is adding the contact to your contact list in the web browser through gmail. Then, if you have auto-sync on, it will sync to your phone.
