Not sure, but if you call verizon they can tell you for certain and how much. I did this when I went on a cruise.

If Aus is a CDMA country then you should be able to use your phone....if you choose too. Just a heads up. It's not cheap.

According to verizon lte is live in sydney and new Zealand so good to go. Australia has no data charge but nz does. Ya cost for text and voice are pricey

hmmm good to know. I was suppose to go to Aus this past summer but traded it for a trip to Hawaii instead....i didn't want the long plane ride from the East Coast of the US. lol

What do you mean there's no data charge? I'm going back home in November (Aus) and I was planning on hitting airplane mode and just using wifi..but I can use 3g over there??
