Root : "Manual" rooting vs. One Click Root

Is there a difference between using on click root and doing it "manually". I'm looking to unlock my MoPho and flash other roms and kernals and I've heard some discussion about problems doing so if you rooted via one click. Thanks in advance.

Most of the issues Ive read about seem to come from people flashing ROMs without unlocking the boot loader.

As for your question there isnt a whole huge difference. Its all about finding a loophole in the programing and entering through there. Once in you should be able to unlock and do anything you want. OCR is easier to use where as the manual rooting way requires proper entering of codes, as long as youre good at following directions you should be fine.

On a side note to that, you may be entering a different loop hole in the system from the OCR so you may or may not have greater access to certain functions right off the bat but once completely rooted you should have the same access to everything.
