Love that pic!Bigger than 4.3"?
![]()
Did you order the one through Amazon.com?
Still think that an extra battery will be needed even though it sounds like they have increased the battery capacity?
I have the first release Inc with the amoled screen and have had no problems with the speaker in fact my phone is rooted running http://androidforums.com/incredible-roms/415978-rom-666th-sense-v1-3-9-27-2011-a.html and the dev puts a little tweek in it to make the volume louder. Being in construction it makes it easier to hear. Plus I'm happy with my Inc so I can wait for the Vigor or whatever it will be called. I thought someone said the screen might be bigger than 4.3? The Vigor will be my next phone.![]()
I'm in construction as well. I do have all my notifications turned to max but I never ask any more than that of my speakers. I do carry my phone with me at all times so it puts in long hard days. However, I can't see how that could have any effect on the speakers. I'm on #4 Dinc and every one of them has had the speaker fail. My latest set has a near impossible to depress power button.. and the back which is my original has a crack along the seam where it marries with the phone. But.. the hard truth is I'm ready to move on. The Dinc is a heck of a phone so the Vigor will have big shoes to fill. It sounds like it is just the phone to replace my favorite phone of all times though.. I'm excited!
Yeah, although I was actually looking for that sweet deal that everyone talked about that came with 2 spare batteries and a spare battery charger for <$20.
As far as needing a spare battery, considering my TB gets charged 2-3 times a day with "typical" use I figured I'd better play it safe this time around. I can't imagine HTC made such a revolutionary breakthrough with their battery life on the vigor compared to the thunderbolt.
RadioShack Launch Checklist Suggests October 20th Release for HTC Vigor | TechUnwrapped
A leaked RadioShack launch checklist yields a rumor stimulating to those anticipating the release of the HTC Vigor/Rezound/Incredible HD. First, a refresher on what we know so far about the device. Supposedly the Vigor will pack a dual-core 1.5GHz processor, 4G LTE services, a 4.3-inch screen with a resolution of 720p, and Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread topped with Sense 3.5. The leaked RadioShack document is called a launch checklist because it is a checklist for phone launches, including phones launched previously and to launch in the future, one of which is the HTC Vigor. Phandroid previously reported on a page they found made to recommend accessories for the HTC Vigor on Verizons website, adding its fair share towards the effort of convincing you that the device will be arriving shortly.
Do you have a link for that "sweet deal"?
Still hoping HTC has improved on the factory battery for typical daily use so I won't have to upgrade my battery the way I did with my Incredible.
Thanks for the info. Can't get here soon enough.
If my memory serves me correctly, Radio Shack & Best Buy release the same day as Big Red, or very soon thereafter.
Good to know; just still surprised we aren't see any cases or accessories at this point.
If you google "HTC Vigor accessories" you will find some generic accessories such as batteries and bluetooth mic's. In fact I thought I even saw a case on one site, But there wasn't a picture.
I had something more like the Seidio Innocase II in mind, which I think is now called the Surface.
if i buy this phone and equip it with this case, and if the phone proves to be as big a headache as the thunderbolt was for me, i'll have the very first surface to air missile that's hand launched....
i think if the specs pan out to be true and the Battery life is not 100% crap i will more then likley pick this over the prime
Fwiw the specs are confirmed (for the most part)

Went and toyed with several Samsung phones yesterday and a few Moto's too. Just don't care for them as much as HTC so more than likely going for this Vigor or at least the next powerhouse they put out. Just depends on what folks say about this one. And after what went down with the TB I don't just want to blindly jump in. I feel I got lucky with my DInk1 lol![]()
for the most part it can always change and then the battery life is also another factor
speccs came from FCC docs fwiw.... battery is a toss up... 1620mah is at least improvement though... either way i'm getting this phone
I'm still on board w the Vigor; but with the leak over ay droidlife today stating Prime may launch this month, and if It's announced next week at ctia....I will at least give the Prime a look and consideration. I wasn't expecting it to get released until November it December.
