Amen my friend!

Let alone a blogger who has not had the opportunity to use either one, let alone to see either one in person.
He must think that pitting one unreleased Android super phone against the other will keep readers from realizing how the iPhone 4S actually stacks up (or fails to stack up) against either one of these Android phones.![]()
You can turn off 4g and it will still be one if not the most powerful 3g phone.
Is October 13 looking highly unlikely at this point for a Verizon release?

Exactly, his SOLE reason for choosing the Nexus over the Vigor is ICS, not that ICS isn't going to have some improvements over GB but that isn't a make or break thing probably.
Besides "Sense/No sense" is a matter of preference. I'm personally a "sense" person and I would suspect the differences between Sense 3.5 and Vanilla ICS will be fairly minor from the "performance" stand point(with the exception of the soft keys). The big thing is going to be the "feel" of the UI which is a opinion thing.
And the TB bashing while acurate ignores the fact that the TB was the very first LTE phone and there always growing pains...
I'm currently a TB owner and haven't experienced any of the issues people bash it for...or I guess if I have, I haven't noticed or been bothered. I actually love the phone and I'm only going to the Vigor because my wife wants my TB. So, I suppose if I already love the TB and the Vigor is supposed to be better considering the TB is viewed as crud, I imagine I'm going to be head over heels for this new phone.

The 13th is looking less likely. So maybe the other date of the 20th. But who knows? So much hush hush on this phone so far.Is October 13 looking highly unlikely at this point for a Verizon release?

Verizon had been extremely tight lipped about this phone (and the nexus), this time around.
My "guess" would be because their trying to push the "older" phones and clear out stock. If you "knew" everything thing about the Vigor and that it was coming out in in Oct. would you buy a Bionic? That's why I think they're keeping it quiet for now. The less us "techs" know the less can filter down to the "masses"![]()
Darn good point right there

True.
Trying to recall though..I thought with the Incredible they did pre-orders before it was actually released? Not sure how the TB was listed but are they likely to just have it go on sale say the 20th, but not really offer any pre-orders?
I'm mostly on the Nexus and RAZR threads, and I'll tell you everyone is saying the same thing about the lack of leaks this time around. There has been some supposing that the Vigor, RAZR, Revo2, and the Prime were all contenders for being chosen as the next Nexus, which is why they are all coming out at pretty much the same time. What do you all think? This does make sense...I think it's weird that the leaks have gone completely dark though...not even an MAP list...
Good point, the Incredible did have a pre-order. I'm not sure about the Bolt. Neither of those phones were replacing anything though.
The Vigor is supposedly replacing the Bolt, so this might explain the different approaches.

I think there may be some cement shoe clauses in the current VZ NDAs!
I hadn't heard that history, thanks!I remember around the time that the first NP rumors started swirling that one of the reports essentially claimed that all the major manufacturers had submitted projects to be considered for the NP, and that those that were not chosen would still make it to market, with some going to each of the major carriers. IIRC, that rumor put all phones in contention launching around the same time (this holiday season), and all with ICS. It's fair to say that all will likely get ICS at some point, NP will be first and likely exclusive for a while. All look like they will be great phones, and yes, spec wise, all look remarkably similar.
I think you might be right about the NDA's, except Steven58 seems to haven found someone willing to spill at least some of the beans about NP/Razr/Bionic...if only we could find some more info on the Vigor...
I hadn't heard that history, thanks!
Verizon employees are paying attention to the Nexus thread because it's so fast moving, enthusiastic, and massive. The source(s) only jumped in when folks were getting over hyped about one rumor or another, and only gave enough info to calm folks down while we wait for the phone.
Y'all need to throw a hissy fit and then maybe you'll get some leak love.

Sorry guys, I'm really interested in the Vigor as well, but I've been so caught up in the Prime flood that I haven't read everything here. I know what specs are expected, but has anyone heard anything about a release date yet?
It seems as though it's gotten kind of dead on the Vigor front. . .

True.
