Yesterday my phone automatically updated to the new version of market I. E build 3.1. 5 and when I was roaming in it I found a update for titanium backup so when I downloaded the update and when installation started it says an error which was "Cannot install On USB storage or sd card" This happened for all those apps which were stored on my sd card while updating them. Any solution?. Then I moved it to phone and tried it but error remains the same.Help.

Are you using Link2sd if so choose the install location as automatic !!

u go to applications
and u can see the option to uninstall updates of the application
do that and i hope it will solve ur issue

which app i should uninstall. market app or the one which i want 2 update

The problem is smdl2tmp1.asec (a temporary file)

The solution? Go and delete smdl2tmp1.asec yourself.

From what I can tell, it could reside in 2 locations:
/sdcard/.android_secure

/mnt/secure/asec/ -

access to this folder requires root and a program like Root Explorer

:)Look for smdl2tmp1.asec in these folders and delete any ones you see. Deleting it seems to be a safe enough operation - it's just a temporary file after all. Once you've done that, all the update problems should go away:
