I wanted to get the otterbox commuter but it's for the international version then I was thinking about the Ballistic case but that's only showing international or it doesn't show AT&T

was also looking at the case-mate and that doesn't clarify if it's for the AT&T either it just says it won't fit the sprint, but it'll fit the international and canadian models only No AT&T there either

also says the same about the pop case I know it is on AT&T's site but for this SGS2 but don't forget these are two different size phones and I don't want it moving inside the case !

Incipio SA-179 NGP Case for Samsung Galaxy S II

I think I saw that model and it covers over the noise cancelling mic hole at the top back of the phone near the headphone jack, right?

I've been a big Incipio fan and when I contacted them they said they don't have anything for the AT&T model...yet.

I purchased one at the AT&T store when I got the phone.
The brand is "AGR". I picked it because I hate bulky cases and this phone is so thin and light, I didn't want to detract from it.
I have found that that this case fits so tight that you have to make sure you put the phone in straight and once it's in you have to push the sides over the edges of the phone. very snug. I've even dropped the phone (which hit my foot and bounced about 4 times under my truck! ) and had no damage to the phone or case! I've had this case for over a week now and I still think it's an excellent choice.

I bought the Ballistic case(black/blue) at the ATT store when I bought my S2. The case is similar to the Commuter but better in my opinion because the back has divots that make for a better grip. I dropped my phone once already and it landed right on the rubberized corner without any scuffing/damage. Zagg sells the Invisible Shield on their website for $14.99 and it's a great fit and doesn't detract from the bright screen(once you give it about 3 days for the micro bubbles to evaporate).

I have the Ballistic blue/black and it fits great and looks great and does not cover the noise cancelling mic. I bought it for less than $23 (shipping included) on EBay. I just wish it had the screen protector built in like the Otterbox Defender had for the iPhone.

Skinomi is fantastic. Went on smoothly, no bubbles. A slight orange peel effect in some areas - but I have to wait 48 hours longer to see how it turns out.

Feel: The volume/power buttons are a bit squishy with it on. You don’t get the positive feel of a button. The buttons work fine, just not much tactile feedback. The TPU is not super grippy, but not slick.
Fit: Fit well. Maybe could be a little more tight. The battery cover can be removed with the case still on.
Appearance: The rubber has small imperfections, but overall fine for a cheap case. They have many colors available.

Here it is after I made my own microphone hole (I used a punch to make the hole). You can also see some of the imperfections in the rubber that I mentioned. The picture exaggerates the imperfections and it looks fine unless you get right up on it.

Feel: The volume/power buttons still have a lot of “feel” to them. The plastic shell is not as slippery as I thought it might be.
Fit: Good. The battery cover can be removed with the case still on.
Appearance: You definitely pay for quality here. It has high quality fit and finish.

I used a punch instead of a drill although I think a drill could be used with success also.
For those not familiar with punches, think of them as a heavy duty paper punch (like the type to punch holes in notebook paper). There is a cylinder and a hole the cylinder just fits in. Squeezing the two together punches the hole out. A punch made for metal (and other materials) has different size cylinders and holes that you can screw in (depending on how large of a hole you want to make).

For placement, I used a pencil and drew a line down from the top microphone hole and onto the phone back cover (with the case off). Then I put the case on and continued the line up onto the case. That gave me the microphone location for one axis (horizontal). For the other axis, the microphone hole is very close to the edge of the case so I pretty much eye-balled it. You could get fancy by drawing another line and using calipers, but since the punch size I used was large compared to the microphone hole I could be a little bit off and still expose the mic hole. You can wipe the pencil graphite off with your finger when you are done.

It isn't quite perfect. I can see some micro-sized stress lines near the hole, but overall I'm happy. I really liked the Neo Hybrid case (especially the open back EX version) and didn't want to wait any longer for a AT&T version.

The Case Fit's like a Glove I really like it and it has all the openings for mic and speaker ect..... the screen protector has the cut out's around the ffc and other metal thing at the top lol don't know what it is but.... I like it also.

I bought the same screen protectors. I got lucky, and it went on perfectly (on my second try, after ruining the first one). Not one bubble at all. The only bad thing about their protectors, is they are serious fingerprint magnets. Even if you try to clean it off, you have to really rub.

I am using an Incipio ( Incipio Samsung Galaxy S II NGP Semi-Rigid Soft Shell Case, Samsung Galaxy S ll Cases, Samsung Galaxy S ll Soft Shell Case, Samsung Galaxy S ll Protective Cases, Samsung Galaxy S ll Carrying Case ). It is really nice quality, and does not have the antenna opening some have. It fits very well, except for the small extra opening for the strap on the international version, and the noise cancelling mic didn't line up. I had to make a new hole with a small jewelry drill. The hole turned out fine, except my placement was a little off, oops.
Also had to slightly enlarge the hole for the charger, since it seemed to not want to go in without alot of fiddling.

I will eventually get a new case, but I am waiting for more choices specifically for the at&t version. I REALLY can't stand the ones that have the antenna cut out on the corner. It seems that having a corner exposed is just asking for damage if I drop it.

The only case I have tried was just a fitment trial at an AT&T store, and it was the Casemate POP. My thoughts -

It was very bulky. It's great if you're into bigger cases, like Otterbox, I guess

The kickstand was flimsy. This was a brand new, out the the package case, and the kickstand would not stay in its place inside the case. It just flopped loosely.

IMO, not a well made case bc of the kickstand issue, and it's bulky as hell. The only pluses, IMO, were that it did fit snuggly and comes in a variety of colors.

I am going to order the TPU-CASE brand case on amazon.

agreed with both. have the red/black ballistic case and i love it. survived two hard drops with no damage whatsoever and the phone is very useable and feels good in your hand with the case on it

I got the Casemate POP! and the Zagg InvisiShield. First, the Casemate POP...
Samsung Galaxy S 2 Pop! case with built-in stand by Case-Mate

I think the CaseMate POP is an awesome case! It is well built, and the design is extremely functional while maintaining a sleek look. The first thing I noticed about my new phone, was how slippery it was in my hand without a case. This is easily resolved by the tacky rubber that is smartly placed only on the sides of the case where it is always grabbed, the front bezel (to keep the screen from being scratched when placed face down), and the side edges of the back to keep the phone from sliding when placed on it's rear. Again, the rubber is super tacky. If you set it down, it's not sliding anywhere.

The plastic is high quality, and glossy. I got the white case, and I like how it compliments the black screen. The high grade plastic will withstand most any drops within normal reason. Volume and power buttons are easily located and accessed by the rubber push buttons located on the sides. IMO, this case actually makes it easier to use the buttons than the actual phone by itself.

And now, the kickstand. It's a great idea and casemate really made it work well. The kickstand is as firm as it needs to be to hold the phone. It is not flimsy at all, in fact it is actually fairly stiff when pulling out from the case. The tip of the kickstand has the same rubber used on the sides of the phone to ensure that the stand stays secure when opened. And the best part, when not in use, the kickstand SNAPS back into the case (and does not flop around or come loose when not in use). The design and funtion of the kickstand was very well thought out IMO.

Overall, the case does not add alot of girth or weight to the phone at all. To compare it to an Otterbox case is not realistic at all. I am very pleased with this case and would recommend it to anyone that desires maximum protection, without sacrificing looks or adding heft to the phone.

As for the Zagg InvisiShield....it's a screen protector.
