Root WARNING! Do not partition SD card via CWM!

As the title says, do not partition your SD card through CWM. My Thrive is now hard-bricked because of it. It partitioned the internal memory instead of the external SD. I should have done some reading first because apparently this is a known problem on several devices so just let this be your warning.

Now, I know the thrive has a 1 year limited warranty. Is there any way I could send it in to get re-flashed or replaced? I know people were having issues with the device not turning on or going into recovery before root was even available (software issue I guess?), did those get fixed or replaced?

Any input/suggestions are welcome and appreciated. Thank you.

is it even possible to send a rooted device back in?

does rooting void the warranty? because they would be able to see that your rooted once they get it working, and no telling if you would have to pay an extra fee

i partitioned my sd card via cwm.. no issues at all i think you hit the wrong button while partitioning..

yes it voids your warranty.. unroot your phone first
