Yeah... I have already
burnt myself once with the phone 'cause it was too hot!!!
But I've noticed the phone auto-shuts after a while, if the temperature gets waaaay high. That is, long after the battery stops charging because the temperature is too high (!).
I'm at a loss as to why the phone gets that hot, and what negative repercussions this has on its life, at the moment. I know it can't be good, though, since after all, it is an electronic device, and the internals do
melt when they reach a certain temperature...
My VERY BAD fix for now has been to put the phone in a freezer for about 15 minutes when it gets unbearably hot and I really want to keep using it... But I don't recommend it to others. Leave your phone in the fridge too long, and you'll have a very expensive piece of ice

. Not to mention the problem with possible moisture/water damage!
