Samsung ICS phone with Touch Wiz?

Now that the Galaxy Nexus has been unveiled, can we assume that this will not be the only ICS phone that Samsung will be releasing, and that there will eventually be a phone with Samsung's usual Touch Wiz interface, whether this be the S3 or whatever? It just struck me that whereas the Nexus S was called a Google phone, albeit manufactured by Samsung, the Galaxy Nexus is undeniably a Samsung phone, although with a pure version of ICS. I would be quite surprised if the Galaxy Nexus ends up being Samsung's flagship ICS phone. What do you think?

the s3 will no doubt have the latest version of touchwiz, integrated with ICS.

Nexus will remain pure android but I am sure you can get touchwiz rooted on etc...

Why is the "Nexus S" anything other than a Samsung phone? This is a Google Phone, just like the Nexus S was.

Not sure what you mean as the NS is a Google phone and the GN is a Sammy phone? Is it just since they use the name "Galaxy"?
But, answering your question, I'm sure we'll start seeing TW phones with ICS by next year. Not sure if we'll see any current phones (GS2) upgraded to ICS by the end of the year. If we do, I'll be pleasantly surprised.

What I am saying is that the official names of the Nexus phones have been Google Nexus One, Google Nexus S, but now Samsung Galaxy Nexus. This is why I am saying that the Galaxy Nexus is different from its predecessors. Yes, they are all of course Google phones, but the Galaxy Nexus is explicitly Samsung.

But name changes are almost irrelevant. Maybe galaxy will get adopted by Google. Droid was a moto thing but now Samsung uses it and HTC uses it.

Droid has always just been a Verizon thing, Motorola just seem to have more Droid branded devices then everyone else.

"Droid" branded Android phones now mean they are loaded with VZW bloat/crapware, and you shouldn't buy it. Sadly.

So these things, such as VCast and VZ Navigator... do they really ruin your experience in some way? Why not just don't use them?

In the year+ I've had my DX with pre-installed apps, I've never used them but they've also never been in my way. Had almost forgotten they existed.

It's the same with people complaining about the new blur ir touchwiz when in fact it does littlr if anything to affect performance.
