Root Rooting Droid 2 Help

Can someone help me with the exploit part of the rooting process?

Here is the process I am using

wiki.cyanogenmod.com/wiki/Motorola_Droid_2:_Full_Update_Guide

I just want to know why the rageagainstthecage exploit is not working for me...

Any thoughts? It says cannot stat rageagainstthecage-arm5.bin No such file or directory...

Welcome to the AndroidForums!

I'm not 100% sure, because I'm a Droid X guy, but I think the rageagainstthecage exploit won't work on Gingerbread (just Froyo).

I do think you should be able to use the djrbliss's Droid 3 root exploit, implemented by Peter Souza, on your Droid 2 (it works for just about all Moto devices):
