Help Can I change my "home" page?

I got a Galaxy II S a few weeks ago, and I'm still learning my way around a few things. One thing I want to change is:

When I double click the "home" button on the phone, it takes me to the 4th "page" of my 7 home pages. I really want it to go to the first page. (Hope that makes sense, I don't know the correct names for these things yet).

I haven't seen a place to setup what the home-double-click does yet, maybe I'm looking in the wrong place. Any suggestions?

Mine goes straight to page 1 although id like it to go to the 4th as i use that as my home page, after having a good play about with the settings i still havent figured it out

You don't need to root. I am using Go Launcher and can select any screen as home. Just click on the house icon at the bottom of the screen in edit mode (where you can view all the home screens).

If you are using stock launcher, try going into edit mode and maybe long press on one of the screen. Never tried it but its usually those the methods to do something like thise.

Tried edit mode on the stock launcher and it would only let me remove the home screens.

If your talking about what i think all you have to do is.....when on your home screen(what ever one 1,2,3,....pinch the screen and itll show you all your home screens, then from there just drag the one you want your home and put it to the first slot.

What i mean is how to set the home button to automatically take you back to the default home screen of choice, lets say i wanted the 4th screen as my default home screen, id want the home button to take me there rather than back to the 1st.

yeah mines 4.0, im not really planning on rooting at the min but as soon as i start getting bored it will be the first thing on my list.

pinch the homescreen to get the zoomed out view of all the homescreens, press one and move it about to change the order.

Notice one has a green symbol on it to show the "home" screen, well press the same spot on one of the others to move the symbol to that screen, this will change the default home to that page.
