Root turn 4g off

is there anyway to disable 4g on my gingervillain rom, im with three so always get it but dont need it most of the time and would rather have 3g to save battery
 
Hsdpa is 3g technically. It's 3.5g. In areas where there is no Hsdpa, it reverts to 3g.

There is no way of isolating different types of 3g. Unlike the way you can isolate 3g from 2g because they the same part of the signal. Not that there is any benefit being on 3g instead of Hsdpa
