Question:

I just got an update to Google Maps 2 days ago, or so, and Battery use is showing Maps 92%, Android System 8%.
This is at 15h 48m 45s since my last charge. Juice Defender is showing x1.55.
After 15 hours 48 minutes my battery is at 58%.
It doesn't look like the battery is being sucked down except when I look at Battery use.
Is anyone else having an issue with Google Maps?
 
I haven't installed anything new on my phone or tried any new tweaks. But as of this morning all I get when I dial out is "Thank you" and it hangs up... Is this a Metro PCS problem or... :( I reset the phone but it's still rooted, I'm not sure if its a good idea to take it to Metro for warranty without removing the Root completely. I do have insurance on the phone in case I have to go that route.. Thanks for the help!

you can always unroot the phone, and also just delete the SU app, but try dailing *228 first and update url, and if that doesnt work, dail *228 again and press 0 threw every menu to speak with a live person and see if they can restore/reset your data.
 
how are you unrooting your phone?? and im about to return this POS phone because it keeps contantly rebooting itself and it's soo damn annoying..!!

you can factory restore it, and it should return tounrooted stock, or you uninstall it in manage applications.
 
I have no rebooting issues however the apps running in the background do slow it down when I first try to use the phone i have to keep closing them I try several app killers but no luck I was about to return since I have heard few people complaint about this I mean a bunch of apps running slows the phone once they are killes boom fast again I don't know if I should try to freeze them or what? men can't wait for a custom rom
 
Does the voice drop in sacramento?

Does the data ever drop?

I have virgin mobile $40 and considering switching to metro pcs $50 for 4g plan.

any thoughts?

The metro voice i have never had a bad line or dropped call. except the one time I was driving out of the service area for a camping trip. So 4 years of no dropped calls is pretty good.
As far as the Sacramento area data goes. Its a bit slow but useable,
on average I get 1.7Mb.

i dont need to unroot, but also when i was testing rooting for others after the update, when i did a hard reset it went back to stock out of box state, and i rooted it again. ;)
 
Has anyone manage to fix the mms problem? I know that there has been previous thread about the issues but no real solutions, other then getting a new one. If your one that return it an got a new one was the problem fixed ? Also, if i purchase the phone on wirefly can I exchange it in the store instead of having to send it back and wait for a new one?

Now those are some question. Specially the wirefly one. I have friends that want to jump on the wirefly deal but are afraid of their handsets getting damage and metro corp store wont fix then in the spot because they weren't purchase there. The MMS problem i believe LG is looking into this.
 
I have light leaking in to my display screen from the bottom edge making some areas gray instead of black is anybody else experiencing this? Also are the capacitive touch buttons suppose to be consistently on when using the phone because mine are?
 
Its a pain having to push the power button just to unsleep the phone. Is there a way I can program the volume buttons to unsleep the phone? Thank you.
 
Easy. Just buy the program WidgetLocker Lockscreen and in the settings it enables you to use any and all hardware buttons. Couple of bucks and problem solved.
 
The voice service is really good, data speeds on the 4G network run 1Mbps - 3.5Mbps. The speed is supposed to be getting increased on the LTE network soon if the rumors are true, I expect it to happen when they announce tethering plans.
 
Just want to know because I read the Revolution can take a 32 gig card.

But I can't find maximum sd card specs for the Esteem anywhere.
 
When someone makes a gingerbread rom for revolution hopefully we can port it over. Or we'll be getting ics before that? :p
