Hi There, I have recently rooted my HTC sensation phone and I'm running The Beast Custom Rom which I'm very happy with. However I'm still only getting about 10 hours max battery life even though I've calibrated the battery. Surely I should be getting at least 16 hours battery life with a custom rom?

I'm also running the BeastMOD, the battery on this phone is horrendous. I'm lucky if I get 8 with no usage.
I thought it was just me. I even calibrated the battery. Think I will have to buy an Anker battery. I thought you would get more battery life from a custom rom rather than a stock rom as all the bloatware has been removed. I've been told to use apps like either Juice Defender or Battery Save and use Autostarts app.

Don't root and get the anker battery it is amazing I get 20+ hours
What is your signal strength when you see the increased battery drain? My stock battery will last 24-48 hours when at home, where I have full bars and average -55dBm to -63dBm signal. However at work, where I average 0-2 bars and -89dBm to -103dBm, my battery will drain up to 70% while just sitting on the desk, struggling to maintain signal.

I down loaded an app called juice defender and it basically turns off your data connection then every 15 minutes or when you take the phone out of sleep mode it turns the connection back on. I have noticed a major improvement. Can't wait to see how it goes with this and the Anker battery! I was able to download and use the app without making any custom changes to the settings. I used my phone a little more then usual today and was still able to use the flash with my camera after I got home from work. That means I had more then half battery left after approximately 12 hours of being unplugged!
