Help [SOLVED] Google Account Not Syncing

Reverence

Android Enthusiast
I just realized that my GMail had stopped syncing since October 27th and thought I had a problem with the GMail app so I tried reinstalling it, clearing the data, making sure notifications were enabled, etc. But when I went into my settings -> accounts and chose my Google account, there are no longer any checkboxes in order to choose autosync and all of my google services, including mail and calendar, say touch now to sync, so I have to manually sync them.

I have background data enabled and everything else is working fine. Is anyone else experiencing this issue? Can anyone reccomend any fixes? Any help would be appreciated.

I encountered that. I installed On-Off widgets on my Bionic. One of them was AutoSync. Since I had no idea what it was (no documentation) I turned it off.

In the Off position it resulted in the screen you described and Gmail syncing stopped.

In the On position the checkboxes appeared in the menu and Gmail syncing ran as expected.

I have yet to find the location in the standard options where this option is turneed On/Off.

Do you perhaps have an add-on App that is turning it Off?

Thanks for the answer Thom, I figured it out shortly afterwards. The autosync on the control widget somehow got turned off so that is why auto sync wasn't working. I didn't find an option in the settings to fix this, I had to enable it on the power control widget.
