Root Need HELP [ROOT]: Complicated.

RetroDelete

Android Enthusiast
My phone was previously rooted, and I had used Titanium Backup to remove bloatware (this relates to my problem). I had updated SuperUser and the binary to 3.0.3, and it removed my root. I tried using the update.zip method on Androidsu.com, and it gave me a signature error. So I thought restoring to factory setting, formatting the SD, and using the recovery to wipe user data, would let me root. When it booted however, none of the Metro crApps were on my phone, (which was great but I still haven't been able to root whatsoever, which I thought it was due to Titanium Backup). Nothing is working, please HELP.

How are you sure that Root is invalid on your phone now? Just curious as I have rooted, gotten SU 3.0.3 Beta, and Factory Reset my phone(Factory Resetting Does NOT Stop Root Access) without any problems.

I downloaded SuperUser to try and update my binary and when its asking for root permission, it fails, everytime. Same when I open up a root app, my phone buzzes as if it was force closing something, and I haven't been able to root since binary 3.0.3's release. ChansDD said he solved the issue but a lot of people are complaining about it on his site. What upsets me the most is that clockwork recovery is coming soon, and I need root o install it.

Have you tried redoing the 1-Click Root again? A stickied thread is available.

I know, that's the only thing that roots this phone at the moment... that's also what I've been using to try and regain my PREVIOUS root (I have done this before -___-).

have you tried downloading BusyBox to see if that's the problem? I would say try to install SuperUser then uninstall it using Applications Manager, then reinstall and try to Download and Install BusyBox onto the phone. Let me know if this helps then I will go to next process for you.

I tried and busybox just says no root access, then when I go into superuser to update the binary it says binary version: legacy, and fails at gaining root access to install everything :/
