16 gb micro sd

from the manual, it:

"Important: Camera, Camcorder, and Music playback features are dependant on having a microSD memory card installed. Although the Samsung Moment™ comes with a 2GB card (pre-installed), it can support microSD cards of up to 16GB."

Not sure if anyone's tried the 32GB one yet or not. :)
 
I don't really care the brand myself....I could care less if it was a china generic so long as it works.

Thats the way I look at it. Most generic items as well as bootlegs and counterfiets are created in the same factories as the originals are...I know this cause I used to work in a factory that made pvc pipe, generic as well as a named brand...both were made exactly the same only one had the underwriters lab label and one didn't. Same specs and impact rating.
 
I have seen some cheep auctions before and when people get them they leave feedback that they are only 2gb. That guy has 0 feedback and has sold many in the last couple days, better wait till some people get theirs in a couple weeks and leave feedback on them. Some people don't even know they have been ripped off because they don't check the capacity when they get it. Says 16gb on front must be 16gb
 
I gave it a shot. I saw the 0 feedback and all but i'm looking at it like this...if I get the wrong card, I can alway use ebays protection to get my money...It may take a few weeks but i'm ok with that. The other option is I get the right card at a great deal. I'll let you guys know what happens.

It's even more insidious than just a mislabeled card. Sellers will frequently hack the cards themselves to present themselves to the OS as 16GB when they are in fact smaller. They say 16GB, they look like 16GB when you plug it in, you can even load stuff on to the card just fine, but then when you try to load more data than the real capacity, you get errors.

Got burned a couple of time buying cheap cards on fleabay awhile back- too many counterfits there for me to go that route again.

I picked up a couple of less than $20 16GB class 2 cards from Amazon when I first got my Samsung Moment. Not sure why people are obsessed with the transfer rate of the faster cards. Might make a difference if we ever get the ability to run programs from the card, but for media storage the cheaper class cards work fine.

From what I remember reading, when we get 2.1 it will allow running apps from the card.

yep, I just took some video and the bit rate didn't even approach the 2megs/second minimum write speed of a class 2 card.

But then again if I could tripple the speed of my computer's hard drive for an extra 20 bucks I'd be all over it.
