Who is excited?

I know I am, I have been holding out for a tablet with Kal-El. It will be my first tablet, but I think it was worth the wait.

So who's going to pick one up when it's released? This will be an awesome Christmas present to myself. :)

Same here. So long as the price isn't too ridiculous outside of the US, this will likely be a Christmas purchase for me.

Hi I had other tablets like Acer A500 and Toshiba Thrive took them back I'm been waiting for Ki-Ei Processor Tablet with Tegra 3 it will be able to play blu-ray movies just fine on this Tegra 3 Processor.

Yes I'm really excited about Prime tablet it will be my first tablet I would own.

I keep looking online to find out any new information on prime I guess I have to wait on November 9th.

I hope they make the screen size 1920x1080 pixels on a 10' screen

I heard they will have USB on Device and Full SD Card Slot. That would be sweet...

16.5 Hours of Battery Life just for the Device if you think about it Tegra 3 uses less processor then Tegra 2 and you will save more battery life.

I hope the price is $400 16GB Model and $500 32GB Model

Rumor: The Amazon Fire going to sell for $200 well ASUS compare it with it and Make the price of it almost the same price as the Kindle Fire Im guessing around $250 I just hope it doesn't go over $400 mark......

We will wait and see on November 9th......

As much as I'd love that to be true, the specs of the Transformer are pretty far ahead of the Kindle Fire. Add to that the fact Amazon can afford to sell for much closer to cost price (and earn a profit via the kindle store), I can't see Asus matching the price.

I completely agree, i'll be happy if this thing has a $500 price tag, which is well worth it for what it has to offer. I'm betting it will be in the $500-$600 range, because this will definitely be a good iPad competitor. They definitely need to price competitively, or the common consumer will buy something else.

I'm thinking the same.....price wise. Newest and best usually doesn't equal cheapest price. I just picked up a thrive but am thinking of taking it back...if this thing comes out.

i've held off getting a tablet for the last month in anticipation of this thing- anyone know what the price will be, over here in the UK?

pumped and locked and loaded to pull the trigger on this tablet... this is the one for me as far as I can tell and I have researched them all.

Can't wait! Just worked a bunch of overtime and was going to use the money on a galaxy tab. Then I saw this! I've been holding off for a quad core but was getting discouraged. This couldnt have hit at a better time...for me.

I'm extremely excited, but I hav a few concerns. I've never bought Asus hardware before(worried about quality) and the battery size being 3380mah(I've read about tegra 3 improving battery life, but the galaxy tab has a 7000mah battery and can last 8-10 hours, are we expecting the same/more battery life with such a decrease in battery?)

Right now it's my top contender, but I would like to see samsung's offerings before I make my decision.

ps: does anyone know or read of any speculation as to when samsung is going to unveil their next tablet? and is there any chance they go with the tegra 3 ?

I wouldn't hold your breath for Samsung. They're still fighting Apple lawsuits over the Galaxy Tab 10.1 and losing in some countries. They may very well introduce something, but I wouldn't be surprised if it looked nothing like the Tab 10.1 due to the legal issues. I'm not going to wait.

Samsung's battery is rated at half the voltage. essentially to level it out think of it a 3500 mAh (Galaxy Tab) to 3380 (ASUS)

Don't buy any other tablet Then ASUS coming up with the Prime.

I've own ASUS product for a while I own G73 Laptop they are really good technology. I had only one issue was the Graphics Card ATI 5800 not ASUS fault. BSOD - Black Screen of Death I figure out the solution with the bios and installed a custom BIOS work fine on my ASUS G73 JH Model.

ASUS one of the best gaming rig out there and they provide good Technology I bough this computer late 2010 at Best Buy Store Gave it to my brother. I'm currently using a MAC BOOK PRO which I got it for FREE (Educational Reward)

ASUS as good as Apple Projects in my option a lot cheaper.

PS: I heard the Prime will be 15.5 Hours Battery Life without using a Docking. WOW!!!!!
Tegra 3 doesn't take up as much Horse power as Tegra 2 does.....

@Poboy:So it should be comparable( or better) with higher performance, right?

@animeware: Thats reassuring :D

@Nastro: It's been taking them quite a while to unveil their next 10.1" tab, hopefully apple isn't the main reason.

ps: thanks for the input guys

Asus does make good products, but 15.5 hrs battery life by itself is a pipe dream. Johnny says in his "sneak view" (his words) that it is around 8.5 hrs. There is plenty of info about this tab in the spot that he did with "allthingsapple" Oh sorry, I meant "allthingsdigital": http://video.allthingsd.com/video/a...-session/6914FD54-055C-4E0C-8EC0-A2B14E3B1102

Beware, the interviewer is an arrogant ass and you have to suffer through the Zen book discussion, but Johnny gives some pretty good info on the TF2.

side note: aren't all apple fan boyz arrogant asses...

Really pumped up here.. been wanting a tablet for a while (both my wife and I are tech fiends). Well now it seems we will be getting one (sharing it) and after going to frys she really liked the ASUS Transformer (which I have had my eyes on it since it came out).

But now the Prime is coming so the thinking ? is..get the 1st Transformer or the Prime?

Her uses for it (She plays LARPS and everyone uses tablets).. and my uses is everything else (maybe some gaming..but mostly I think movies/surfing net etc etc).

I am a person who balances the cost and try to 'future' proof electronics items as much as possible. The price difference is only $200.00 (before the TF101 gets hit with the x-mas sales like BB, plus wife works at Target) so what I am wrestling with is, of course, is the Prime worth the $200.00 extra.

Yes I know it is not out yet and really no 'HARD' hands on has been done with it yet and reviewed (and yes I have seen the portuguse (sp?) site of the Prime (and video)).

I guess I will have to hold the buying trigger finger until the Prime comes out and go from there and see what the balance is.

I really enjoy ASUS products (only use their MB and other items when I build desktops) and have had no issues with any of their products so I hope their tablet line is as reliable as their other products.

I am superpumped for this. I have the OG Galaxy Tab and I love it, but the keyboard dock makes the TP a very near laptop replacement. I plan on using the dock for work and take it out for play.

The two things I'm most excited about are using a remote desktop program with the keyboard and mousepad for a true Windows experience, and the ability to stream HD .ts files over wifi. I can almost do that with my Epic Touch, but it doesn't quite have the horsepower and stutters too much to use (it streams mkv files, though).

Man I'm amazed how few people are excited about this ! Between the Galaxy Nexus and this it is the Christmas of greatness!!!
