Is there a Windows Phone7 rom??
I know that there are several mock WP7 apps that make your phone seem like its a WP7, but is there a rom? im interested in knowing if there is or not, cause im actually kinda thinking about ATTEMPTING to make such a rom, after i learn the basics of building a rom, and apps first.
most of the apps out there are VERY similar to the real thing, but they are also lacking in some areas. if i do take this on, i plan on making it as close to the real thing as i can. and if its a success, then i might try to make an IOS rom as well.

Have you checked over at XDA? Perhaps if it's been tried, you can find something about it there. Id love to know though as I think it would be interesting, so if you do find something be sure to post and let us know.

I remember reading about a wp7 project a few months ago, and I've checked out some of their apps that were made, but some of them are still lacking a few features and user functions, what I plan on doing is starting from scratch, rom, launcher, everything. I may not know much about making my own apps or roms, but I am willing on trying, so far the best launcher that I have came across was Launcher7, I might start by using cm7/iho, and just toss in the apps that I have came across to use as a base/teaser before I start making my own/editing/tweaking the apps that I have came across.
I'll most likely use ubermusic player with the metro skin set as default since making a music app would probably be the hardest of all. And I'll most likely use launcher 7 and tweak it a bit and add a few features before I learn how to compile my own launcher app. I'm going to be basing alot of my work on apps that are already out there, along with how the windows phone 7 looks and functions. Its going to take a while for me to make all this happen, but I will try to get started asap after a little more research. Wish I had an actual wp7 phone to go off of, but I just have to rely on YouTube, and the Microsoft store at my local mall, since they have a few phones you can play with. This should prove to be a fun little project.

Funny thing is, that i use apps that are part of both projects; Launcher7, statusbar+, WP7contacts, WP7lock, UberMusic player with Metro skin, Popup7, WP7Phone, and i use Alternative icons on the Launcher to give it a personal touch with the Ubermusic album live background.

hrmmm.... I'm very interested in having a WP7 ROM myself. If you happen to find one that is pretty good and comparable to the real thing, you should totally tell me about it!!

Or even if you happen to get a bunch of apps together that make the phone function like a WP7 phone.

I would like the built in functions in the camera. My LG rumor touch had all that built into the camera.
