Help G2X font issues

hi....i bought the LG G2x or whatever and i must say...its such a painstaking process to do ANYTHING with the damn thing....it seems for everything i need to do, i have to download an app....

i cannot install new fonts? wtf is that?...i would like to install a font for romanized pali, because as it is now, i get squares instead of characters like 'ā', 'ṃ', '

do i have to 'root' my phone? i hear that voids the warranty, then i also have to install an app..seriously..? how stupid is that...?? seriously....what a fail...

The fail here is you I'm afraid. You've clearly done zero research into buying your phone.

actually rusty, the fail lies soley in the fact that android locked users out of their phones and refuse to allow the user basic access to their own device...who would think to.research if their phone would allow them to do the utmost of the most basic of functions ie. setting the fonts....but yeah, that was a helpful response, thanks alot for your keen insight dick..

Changing fonts requires changing system files/gaining access to system areas of the phone. I'm pretty sure you can just root it, change the font and then unroot it to have your warranty back.

yeah thanks for the info....im not going to root my phone.....i dont trust it and its just not worthwhile to me....im not ruining my phone just so i can add a font....

Well just because it's basic for you, doesn't mean it is for others. I, for example, consider it useless.

However, people are being helpful to you, you just chose to ignore it because it requires "an app" or "root." Neither of which you're willing to do.

And you won't be ruining your phone by rooting. Worse case scenario, is you'll make it better and you can always go back.
