Root Wipe /data? Sholes 2.0.3

Hi guys, complete noob here, just got my Droid two weeks ago. I'm usings SM Updater, it's asking me if I want to wipe /data and says to do so if I'm running 2.1. I don't know what Sholes 2.0.3 is based off or if I should do this b/c the rom is different than stock?

Sholes is a 2.01 based ROM. So, you don't need to wipe.
