64GB SDXC in the Razr?

As it has been proven possible to use FAT32 formatted 64GB cards in various Android phones and tablets - can the Razr do that as well ? That would make it an even meaner beast....

I don't think they make a 64 GB micro SD yet, but the marketing stuff at the VZ store said up to 48 GB cards. Maybe the limit is the cards and it can take 64 GB when they come out.

There are 64GB uSDXC cards out there and they are reported to work with some Android phones.

Still waiting on confirmation from Nztechfreak about this. He received his Razr a day or so ago so I asked him about it in another thread. He said he'd report back when he was able to confirm it. In the mean time here's a link to his blog with some confirmation on the 64gb cards working in several Android devices.

AndroidNZ: [UPDATE: Confirmed working in the Galaxy Note too] Sandisk 64GB Micro SDXC cards confirmed WORKING in Galaxy S II, HTC Sensation, Galaxy S, ASUS Transformer

Yep, sorry delayed answering that question because I couldn't actually unbox my Razr today and for various reasons not even enough time to put the card in it. Will do tomorrow morning and update that blog post with pictures of it working/not working in the Razr, I fully expect it will.

All good sir, no rush. I appreciate you giving us this info. :)

Why worry about 64gb when you have an easy access card slot? Not like the Rezound or Bionic where you have to remove the cover and battery & restart just to swap cards.

You RaZors have it good :)

You make a good point, However, I'm kinda anal about my music collection organization and I'd prefer to have it all on one card rather than for example, A-M on one card and N-Z on another. I'm drawing a blank as to whether their would be another organization method? Also, when I'm out I don't carry any bags (laptop/tablet bag, man purse, etc.) and I'd prefer to have as few things in my pockets as possible.

64GB micro SDXC cards confirmed to work on the RAZR.

Credit and a big thanks to Nztechfreak!

Wow, that was quick! Was just coming to post it now! Did you get it from my Twitter stream or blog?

LOL yeah sorry I was stalking you on twitter because I remembered that you had said you'd post your findings there or on your blog. Sorry, I was just excited to hear that they'd work. :o

Thanks (though a little late) for checking and confirming this. I finally got one (though it set me back another good 100€), and it's amazing to know that short of wanting to carry my whole music library on my phone, it's gonna be very hard to ever run out of space on this baby.

Since this supports the 64GB Micro SDXC shouldnt it support the future 2TB SDXC cards once their micro format? If so im throwing out my old hard drives I was saving for a home media server.
