Help I need help with MMS

Ok. So I have an Optimus M. It Came with 2.2 out the box. Rooted with z4 root.
A couple weeks ago, I was playing around with some PRL files to get a 3g signal. Upon success, I flashed a Sprint PRL to the phone for further testing as to what I could do with this phone. It worked fine. Flashed back to Metro PRL 3025. Worked fine. Left the phone alone for a few hours. Then I modified some of the data settings and lost my data access and MMS. So I reset everything back to their defaults (my girlfriend has the same phone so I copied most of her settings) and even called Metro to have them reset or whatever they do, Reset/recover the phone, update PRL, and even flashed GB and MetroOFF, and MMSfix for GB.
NONE of that worked to fix my MMS/Data.
Who can help me?

Well first do a nand backup, after doing that, go and use root explorer or any other file manager, and navigate to /data/data/com.android.providers.telephony/databases and delete telephony.db. but I know that fixes mms, if your talking about messages as in SMS and mms then I guess its delete mmssms.DB. but remember to do nandbackups before doing anything!!

Your showin cm7 Gb 2.3.3
Which rom exactly?

Wait, he lost data and mms. His prl screwed with those connection settings. If hes got no 1x or 3G symbol then hes gotta get those tips from flashing the htc droid eristro starting from the qpst configuration. If he has no data then theres shouldnt be no mms incoming or outgoing, i just tried this rom and noticed theres a fix for mms. I added it to the rom and it worked. Then i bricked my phone on purpose and started fresh again by only restoring messaging and calls. Then i installed recovery etc etc new rom etc etc. And then checked that mms was not working, so i flashed the fix but it didnt work until it had data on it. So probably this guy lost his settings when flashing sprints prl.

Look up how to flash a htc droid eris to metro. Its on howardforums I think. All you mostly need is qpst. Just look for the part where it says data working.

If your meid is the same as someones elses phone. Then you gotta change it. Did you use lgnpst to upgrade prl or qpst? And do you know your esn or meid if it was changed?

Did you recently restore service to it,cause you were zeroed out?

Check your min number..make sure it's a number different then your number

I just checked and my min and phone number are the same could this be causing my issues with mms? If so, what should I do to fix this?

your mms isnt working cause the min is diff then your phone num. you can call metro and ask them what your min is..just tell em you were messin around and you deleted it....thats what i told em.....:)

Ok, macjay420 I was able to talk with Metro PCS tech support. I went through the reprograming stages (at least I pretended like I was) ;) when we got to min# it was still the same as my phone#!!! So I asked the tech about the two numbers being the same and he said that its rare, but does happen sometimes. So I guess Im stuck at this point??? B.T.W. sometimes mms works but most times it dont!

Also, if you've had another phone with your metro account, you can find the MIN number there and just copy it to your current phone.

I have tried this fix a number of times, also the older metro off patch, like I said earlier its been hit or miss even when using these fixes. But I have had some luck, I changed my prl from 3023 to 3024 and so far I havent had any problems with sending or receiving mms's. Im keepng my fingers cross! Also, I was wondering about min and phone# being the same has anything to do with having a used or refurbished phone? Because my daughters phone was replaced by Assurion (refurbished) and mine I got used and both phones have matching min and phone#'s!!!???

Also, if you've had another phone with your metro account, you can find the MIN number there and just copy it to your current phone.

I have a old Blackberry curve 8330m, so it would be ok for me to copy the min from that phone on to my Optimus M?
