Root Can not do anything

I have a little experience with roms and such. I managed to install CM7 using Rom manager with minimal difficulties. I was trying to install Pure Android and now all I get is the LG logo then a black screen. Unfortunatly the only way I have to contact the person that I usually run to for help is, you guessed it, on my phone. I've browsed through the forum and can not seem to find any threads that can help me with my problem. They all want me to do things on my phone, which I can't. I'm sure that it's one simple, stupid thing I am missing here, but I'll be damned if I know what it is. Can I get some help please?

Edit: I did manage to get into emergency mode, but all its' doing is showing that screen for about 20 seconds, then powering off, then repeating.

I have used Rom Manager successfully twice before with no issues to install CM7. As for the backup, I have one on my phone, theoretically, but I can't get past the lg logo. And I have tried to get into recovery mode, but I get nothing from that either. I've tried KP500, KDZ (which I can't locate the correct kdz file), and now I'm playing around with adb and ROMtools. My PC recognizes that the phone is connected, but beyond that I might as well plug a potato into my USB.

I believe you don't use rom manager because of the exact problem you're having.

Which recovery do you have installed on your phone?

These are the steps to boot your phone into recovery. Have you tried this? Do exactly as described.

1. Power off. To confirm Remove the Battery.
2. While the phone is off, press and HOLD the following Keys in the same order: Home Button, Volume Down Button, and the Power Button.
3. Let go off all the buttons when you first see the LG logo.

As I said, I have tried to get into recovery mode. All I get is the black screen. The only things my phone can do right now are show me the lg logo followed by a black screen with backlight, or I can go into emergency mode which just loops every 20 seconds while assuring me that there is a download in progress. I can't even say for sure which recovory I have installed, because that is as far as I can get.
