Root Request for Original Virgin Mobile Software

Hello all,

So I bought my HTC Wildfire S Virgin Mobile on black friday like everybody else. I waited a few days and then rooted via the instructions on this forum. And then I had the brilliant idea to try installing the CM 7.1 Mod for it. And well, it didnt work very well. The phone got stuck on the HTC screen. So finally I installed a different ROM, JikantaruROM, and I managed to get past the bootscreen. But nothing else works. So I was wondering if anybody could either tell me how to flash CM 7.1 Unoffical release to my phone, or if anybody knew a way I could get back to the original Virgin Mobile software.

Thanks in advance,
Wieland959

No sir, I simply copied off all the files on my SD card, and then deleted them to use my card as a goldcard. I do happen to have two other HTC wildfires coming in the mail. They were such a good deal, I thought I should resell a few on eBay. So do you think I can root one of those and get a clockwork backup from that?

Yeah, you could do that.

I'm also seeking out the stock Virgin Mobile (USA) ROM for the Wildfire S. I'd greatly appreciate it if someone who had it, would upload it.

Much thanks!

Hello all here: I have the nandroid with no root access, completely stock. You must download all files and have the recovery on my other post. After you download please put them into a folder called 12.2.11, just a normal folder, not a zip. Then go into recovery and backup and restore, restore then select 12.2.11

Here are the files:

Okay. I managed to boot my phone and am able to send/receive texts. The rom I used? [EXP ROM] Stock GB 2.3.4 Virgin US cdma - Only for A510c - xda-developers. It seems to work pretty well. However, I would still like to have the original rom if someone could still upload it.

That rom is original with only Apps2sd added... pulled it from the nandroid I made shortly after rooting. Has all the stock bloat you want. ;) Made one for US Cellular as well [of their stock]. True true stock [s-on, no root, no apps2sd but everything like factory] will only come by flashing a RUU...exe. I haven't spied any of those for the marvelc variants yet (VM USA, US Cellular or MetroPCS). The original thread did hack some stuff out, but I backup up to my oldest nandroid and left it untouched other than to add Apps2sd since their were a lot of people semi-bricking by flashing gsm roms early on. Hope that helps.

I got one im getting ready to upload with more features. May want to check it out. Just PM me before you download one of my roms to make sure its the correct updated one ;)
