Help HTC Sense frequently crashing since upgrade to Gingerbread

Since getting the OTA updates to Gingerbread, my phone has frequently been crashing Sense. Usually, it is after using the stock browser, when I tap the home button, I see the dreaded white screen with the green HTC logo.

I tried clearing all data from Sense and this seemed to solve the problem for a while, but a mere 2 days later it is back. I had Sense crash 3x in as many minutes while I was using the browser.

My OS version is 4.08.605.2 (I was able to successfully install both OTA updates I received - the only OTA updates I've received) and I'm not rooted.

My HTC Sense says it is version 1.00.000.185897.605

Have you tried a factory reset? In some cases it is highly recommended after updating to a new OS version.

You might try clearing cache and data for the browser, to see if that helps.
If not, then I agree with dhays that a factory reset is probably in order.

Clearing cache and data, yes. No effect.

Factory reset is the answer I was not hoping to hear. :p Guess that can always be my last ditch effort if the crashes start driving me totally insane
