Help weird dotted lines within warp screen

Out of curiosity, does the warp have some kind of screen protector on it already or does the screen just come with little dotted lines going from top to bottom. They are not very noticeable, but from certain angles they are easily seen. Could some one please respond because it could just be my phone. Thanks.

Yep. Here on mine too.

Appears as though they were incorporated onto the glass during the manufacturing process.

They must not complicate the adhesion and or longevity when employing a shield as I haven't read anyone noting problems relating.

My guess would be that they have to do with the way the touch screens work. The screens use the heat of your touch to complete a circuit which causes the screen to respond (if I understand the technology correctly). Since the Warp does not have a glass screen but plastic it might be necessary to use these dots in some way to help the less conductive plastic. Just a guess maybe somebody could confirm who knows more.

The screen is Gorilla glass. And yes mine has the dots too.

This discussion has been an ongoing one but it is not gorilla glass. ZTE was unable to get a contract with the makers of gorilla glass (Corning).

Well their website would seem to argue the case for gorilla glass. :)

Rather weird as the company said differently about a month ago.

I think the dot is the sensor of touch panel,they are the micro capacitor in it between glass.
PS: Warp is configured with glass with gorilla brand. why we cannot see the list on gorilla class website only because of the policy of Gorilla they want to another fee except purchase.

cleaned my screen off and noticed them today.....i doubt they would show up in a picture.

all the capacitance touch panel have the same phenomenon which is the etching circuit after read some TP relevant information. vitreous surface is more easy to find than plastic one. and gorilla glass has the best transparency than other brand.:D

those dots are used as a calibration/location function, so the device is able to triangulate the position of your finger as it moves across the screen. The visible dots represent the main "grid" system, but there are probably smaller or less visible dots that subdivide each "square", thus making it very easy for the device to know where your finger is, within a certain margin of error.

The way I understand it is that the Warp has Gorilla Glass, but as their website states;

Due to customer agreements, we cannot identify all devices that feature Gorilla Glass. Your favorite device may include Gorilla Glass, even if you don't see it listed.
