Help Wifi Problem

Im on bobz rom and right now my wifi goes extremly bad. Like im just 2 steps away from the router and i leave the phone alone for 20 mins then it finally connects to it. Is anyone having like somewhat difficilty with wifi at all?

Are you running Droidwall or another firewall program? This messed up some applications because I did not know the firewall requires re-authorization when you update the app, which is a useful, security feature.

Also, routers in 2011 seem to suck. I bought three high-end routers in the last few years. Two of these busted and the one I use now will suffice until I get something good. Many issues can create problems in networking; I've done IT projects off and on for more than 10 years. This is an IT issue.

Also, quirks seem to happen when you install these ROMS -- like windows installs. So, I would suggest that -- if none of the previous suggestions work in any way -- you would do well to wipe everything and re-install the ROM. Keep doing this until it behaves properly. I installed Bob's ROM several times and it's doing a great job on this run. Keep at it. =)

No firewalls are connected. My router isnt really old, I recently bought it and it was fine before. I reset the router just to be sure and nothing happend. So im guessing it could be the rom. But after flashing 4 times an hour for almost 2 weeks I really dont see the difference of the wifi problem. Also it says its connecting to my wifi when Im at school a mile away lol. But ima keep trying!

Same thing with me on Bobz.
Went back to Reppard, it was fine.
Apparently the Wi-fi firmware files don't like certain types of routers.
