Putting iTunes music on my Android phone?

I'm old and not much of a tekkie--but I'm trying. My wife is Apple and I'm not. All of our music is on itunes. What is the best way to download some music onto my Epic 4g Touch? (which I LOVE!)
 
Drag and drop works.

If you want some kind of syncing capability, I'd recommend DoubleTwist.

Edit: Actually, I've ditched DoubleTwist for iSyncr. iSyncr is way smoother and seamless.
 
Setup Google Music to store your music on Google's servers, and download the Google Music player from the Android market. Stream or save songs as needed.
 
Just connect your phone to your computer by usb, and then find your music folder in the phone's files. Then open iTunes, select the songs you want, and drag them into the folder. That worked fine for me.

Someone else mentioned getting Google music, and that seems like a good idea, but I can't get it yet since I am in Canada, but that might be something worth looking into.
 
I would be adventurous and try the new Google Music. It sounds cool although I must admit I haven't tried it yet. I don't think you will have to be very tekkie to give it a whirl.
 
Any excuse to stray from Apple is good enough for me. As soon as google music is available in Canada I will be getting it instantly.
 
There might be an app made by your phone manufacturer to sync playlists from itunes... my experience of motorola's one has not been favourable, however. Most straight albums appeared correctly, but compilations got all messed up (usually by deciding each track of a compilation was an album of it's own right). So I quit using moto media sync & do the old drag & drop.

The android media player is quite basic compared to ipods & doesn't like tags other than mp3. You might find you need an app just to download missing album art, for instance.

Just accept that Android is not an ipod :D
 
Just an FYI, if the songs were purchased through iTunes they may have a DRM attached. In which case a drag and drop will not work.

And I believe Google Music may not work as well. I am upload a bunch of songs and it stripped a few complaining about DRM. I have a Zune subscription and I pointed Google Music upload to my Music directory which contained songs "rented" through Zune, Google music (rightfully so) didn't upload them....
 
iTunes DRM is one big reason I refuse to use iTunes for anything. If I purchase a song I want to be able to listen to it on what every I choose.
 
Check out TuneSync. It allows you to wirelessly sync any of your iTunes playlists to your phone. The app was $5 a couple months ago. It also requires you to install a small program on your computer. It's free. After some small setup steps, it takes care of the rest. I do recommend setting up a new playlist just for your Android devices. I couldn't get the actual playlist to sync, just the media in the folder(s). If you have repeat songs in folders, you get multiple copies of those songs on your phone. I found that just setting up a new playlist in iTunes was the easiest solution.
 
Since iTunes music is under DRM protection, you have to remove the protection with iTunes or some other third-party program. I am now using TuneClone which is esp. designed fro this purpose.
 
I'm able to right click on songs in itunes and choose "create mp3 version" and then I can put them on my android phone with no problem. You may have to set up the preferences first to import as mp3 files. I normally only buy songs from amazon but my daughter buys a lot from itunes (she only has an ipod touch).

Ok I am in Australia so I don't get the google play buying so what I do is buy off itunes.
solution:first buy the song and download it, next you go to my music in user 'computer name or or my documents depending on version of windows next go to tthe file called itunes go to music(or media I can't remember wether media file is there) next copy the selected music out of the folder and onto your phone (if you don't use a program to do this plug in your phone phone go to my computer phone sdcard music or media if it's media go to music in that then drag music into the folder :-) hope I helped enjoy ythe music)
