Root [Boost Mobile] Bricked it!!

Just registered to say i had a strange problem with the camera showing inverted red and blues, i tried everything a general user would, to no avail.
I went under system/lib and changed the liboemcamera.so and libcamera.so to .backups, and placed the "fixed" .so files in their place and phone shuts off.

stuck at android

entered recovery mode and tried different updates for multiple phones..
no luck yet

wiped phone, which prevents me from connecting to droid explorer..

Basically what im trying to say is that if someone has a custom rom or recovery they want me to try, It can be the androidforums zte warp "guinea pig"

Im going to order another anyway because the price for this phone would be $140 with the cyber30 promotion.

What promotion are you talking about?

If you go to boost mobile website and order the warp, enter cyber30 as promotional code at check out and you can get the phone for $139.99

Ok, so I fixed the phone using The "Handset software Update" program straight off of ZTEUSA.com So now i have two phones. One for use and one for testing, both rooted.

If anyone has anything for me to try, I have nothing to lose thanks to that program.

Now this is interesting.
This seems to restore the phone to factory. It is the same principal as Odin for Samsung phones except instead of an image install it installs form zte online.

Good to know if i bugger up the OS i can restore with this. :D

Syntax, saw you were looking to help with testing, I have been following the testers wanted thread by Sebastian404. She's working on a clockworkmod and needs help testing. That work is really important because it will allow work on custom roms, I would do it but can't risk messing up my phone since I just have one.

If you could help test on that thread I and I am sure a lot of others would appreciate your help!

Thanks

Also, might be a good idea to pass around your finding about restoring the phone to factory, I hadn't heard that anywhere else and it might be a big deal :)

ok so my cammera was also doing this some one showed me that there is a handset software update tool on the zte website and what it does is you plug your phone into your computer and update it and it puts every thing to stock takes root off and everything hope this helps

I've Been following the testers wanted thread as well, I'd Love to help out!

I'll Start a new thread for Factory Restore. ZTE knows what we are doing to our phones and i think it will be a successful company if they keep providing services and help like this. Even on the Official FAQ page they explain what root is and why you might want it, try finding that on Samsungs site.

And just because there is no SIM card doesn't mean it isn't as easy as going to boost mobile and entering the MEID of the phone you want to use and switching between them Instantly, Pretty cool if you want to try a custom ROM outside of the house.(when we get there)
