Help Anyone else have trouble activating VZW Gnex

First I got 'no SIM card' error because I didn't know it wasn't installed. Once I installed it, it tries to activate, and I get:

Your mobile data service couldn't be activated. This may be a temporary problem, and may be solved by restarting the phone.

Well, restarting/re-installing the SIM card didn't solve it. Please tell me I'm not the only one having this issue?
 
n/m, didn't know you had to call and activate it first. Guess that's what I get for not RTFM :) Maybe this post will help somebody else though.

Assuming you bought one online and it came with a new microsim?

You call the 800 number and put in your order number (or some number close to this) activate.
