how much longer will you keep your Fascinate?

I just got back from Army basic training where my Fascinate sat in storage for over two and a half months. My battery life now sucks. I never needed a mid day charge. I always got through the day just fine. Now I need two mid day charges to make it. Ugh...

I ordered a new battery from Amazon for 6.99. We'll see how that does.

I would advise that the next time you store your Fascinate to remove the battery and store them separately ;)
It might help with keeping the battery alive- just like when you don't drive a car for a while you take the battery out. :)

I did.

in november, I got an iPhone.

today I powered on my fascinate to find it was just as buggy as the day I turend it off. Choppy scrolling/toggling between apps and homepage. I tried to turn it off and remembered how awesome it was when it took a screen capture randomly.

I'm so glad I don't have to use this thing anymore. What a POS.

Unfortunately, my wife is still stuck with hers for a while longer. I will probably use mine as a test device for the (fail) 2.3 update before hers goes to it. Hopefully it doesn't brick the POS like it's doing to everyone else...

I had the update freeze and could not get it to do anything. Sent it to Samsung service and it's due back today. The paper work online says they replaced the unit; not worth repairing. I still use my Trophy (love WP7) as my main phone but will fire up the Fassy and see what it looks like.

Step 1: Buy GNex
Step 2: Love GNex
Step 3: Factory reset Fascinate with intentions to sell it on Craigslist for $10 and a pack of menthol cigarettes.

BRICKED

Step 4: Stare in disbelief and come to the realization that even after you buy a new phone the Fascinate will still cause you headaches.

You know, I love my Fascinate still, especially since I threw it through the air and it landed on the pavement! I'm dead serious. My battery life became good again after I did that, and it only put a little dent in the side. Not too drastic. And with my new gingerbread ROM the thing runs like a DREAM. No joke.

I just want the Nexus like crazy now because of the following:

Working NFC/Google wallet
Zero lag camera
HDMI OUT HDMI OUT HDMI OUT!!!!!!! FINALLY FINALLY YAAAAAYYY WAHOO!!!
Perfect bluetooth keyboard and mouse support
32GB of built in storage?? WAHOOO!!!! YIPPEEEE!!!
Fast and delicious DUAL CORENESS!!
720p screen? But of COURSE!!
Notification LED (minor detail, but still nice)
My phone AND my computer can access the storage AT THE SAME TIME!!

This is so much better than any iAnything or HTC anything else in the whole wide world that I am just stupid excited to get this phone. I think I'm gonna beg my dad to loan my some money to get this phone. I'm serious. My Fascinate has done fine for me, but the Galaxy Nexus is just soooo .... holy hanna whooptie doo WOW!
